If you have an RE 3.5" lift on a XJ and want a HD bracket Location: Date: August 29, 2021 I have an RE 3.5" lift on an XJ. I originally bought the RE adjustable track bar without the HD bracket. Then I found out that RE doesn't have an HD bracket unless your lifted higher 4.5-7.5" of lift. I bit it and bought this instead. Recommended Value 5 Quality 5 Service 0 Best trac bar available! If you don't have it in my experience I replace the poly bushings once a year if I go offroad. It is a solid build track bar. I had someone hit-and-run me and they bent my IRO OTK steering and blew out a Rough Country control arm but the track bar didn't flinch. I had to sawzall the bolt out of the frame side but the whole bar is just fine no problems. I use control arm drop brackets 6.5" lift on 33" and I always stress out these poly bushings when wheeling only a couple times a year. Get the flex joint and this should be worry free for at least 3-5 years. Poly bushings are only $10 each replacements but it shouldn't happen that fast BUT IRO has made an upgrade option now. I've owned this track bar for at least 5 years. On road it's never a worry, off road and getting flexy them poly bushings tell a different story. I have no considerations for other manufactures for track bars; Even if I replace both poly's every year that's only a $25 maintenance fee which is much cheaper than buying a whole new track bar and replacing them is pie! In a coil spring suspension, the track bars are the only thing keeping your axles from moving side to side. Keeping both axles centered properly is what keeps your Jeep tracking straight down the road.
Are adjustable track bars worth it?are they worth it, yes absolutely. they'll tighten the handling of your rig up a notch and they'll give you the ability to center your axles. i am running teraflex monster forged adjustable front and rear track bars.
What does an adjustable track bar do?And an adjustable track bar allows you to correctly position the axle after making any suspension height changes. Even a leveling kit can move an axle over to the driver's side a bit, putting unneeded stress on suspension parts and making your 4×4 drive slightly sideways.
Do you need adjustable track bar for 2.5 in lift? You do not need an adjustable track bar on a 2.5" lift. Axle shift is minimal, 1/16 to 1/8", you will never notice it.
