Front seats needs some repair as they are in need of building up with new padding. Headliner is starting to show some wear around the rear view mirrow. Pros Exceptional senior citizen car! Cons Small dent rear passenger side door This car has never sat outside. Never been driven in ice, snow or salted roads. We are retired and go South every winter from Nov. to May. Towed behind motor home and has a tow bar installed. We do not smoke and have no pets or children. Was this review helpful? 0 0 Geoffreyxe 04/07/2022 | 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee Pros Super reliable, comfortable Cons Heater was to expensive to fix My wife and I bought our 1999 Grand Cherokee limited in 2009. We sold our Jeep in 2014. Our family grew from 4 to 7 and we could no longer keep a 5 seater in service. Our experience with this jeep was a great one. Had an issue with the blend door coming apart and had to secure the door in order to get ice cold ac. This also disabled the heater. I feel like this part could have been designed better. It was a plastic door with a metal stud and it cracked. Other then that we drove this jeep everywhere without any break downs. Regular maintenance was done and after putting 60k miles over 5 years we sold our Jeep for the same price we bought it for. Essentially a free vehicle for 5 years. Without question we miss our Jeep and it's comforts and smooth ride. Our previous suv was a 2000 Ford explorer and the difference was night and day. Ford made a reliable SUV but it drove like a truck. Was this review helpful? 0 0 JC 02/13/2022 | 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee MY BEAUTIFUL ROAD WARRIER Pros Elegant and powerful. Cons Аll Jeep GCs are noisy - easy to get used to. This is my second Jeep GC Limited - after I owned a 1993 GC Limited 5.2 L V8– another award winning unbeatable model, Which had the all important MAGNUM engine. (if somebody didn’t covertly took away / steal - I would still own it.) I bought this Jeep when it was eight years old. All these years I had taken great care of it and all the things that were problematic were resolved successfully – especially the proverbial electrical problems of old Jeep models, starting with the electronic key. However having said that - I must say that this is my absolutely favorite car. It has never abandoned me, it always comes through. I have grown into being very fond of this car and I am currently on a mission to make it and restore it to perfection. So far I have replaced a lot of parts, just because I wanted it to be completely restored - Because it needed it. Hi call my Jeep fondly ‘JC’, because it has carried me to a lot of places, and has always been my SILENT friend… Well coming to think of it not so silent because the interior is still noisy typical for the jeep SUVs. complete the rebuilding of everything I need to make it work to perfection – the last touch will be a brand new darker khaki paint and brand new rims black rims…. I guess we have to keep with the times the new color the new cars the new jeeps come with dark rims and darker tones and we have to be in town with them….:) I have looked at the new jeeps 2020 – I’ve looked at Summit, I have looked at altitude… I’m sure you have seen them they are bigger volcano with a lot of gadgets inside – but none of them has the vitality and the elegance of the Jeep Grand Cherokee from earlier designs.
