Bought this air filter for a 2009 Chevy Malibu with 4 cylinder engine. Contrary to the information on the packaging, product does not have the following features:
"pleat lock feature - glue beads that help lock the filter pleats into place to allow consistent airflow and less restriction" - there are no glue beads
"Heavy-duty construction - a heavier screen provides increased durability and greater filter integrity" - there is no screen, it is just a paper filter
"Specially engineered coated media - traps and holds double the dirt vs FRAM Extra Guard Air Filters" - does not appear to be coated, filter is white not yellow
Having said that, I'm sure it's fine. Cost only a few cents more than FRAM Extra Guard. I don't have an Extra Guard filter to compare against.
