Simple steps to replace the battery in your Ram's key fob

Inside of your remote key fob installed small button battery. Remove any internal key first, and then try to pry apart the keyless entry remote. Remove screw on the back of the keyless entry remote. Spin the remote key fob over and find for at least one screw holding in the plastic.

Delicately try to disassemble your key fob with hands or flat head screwdriver. Replace one CR2032 battery with flat head screwdriver.

Change old battery with fresh one CR2032. Be sure to connect the battery the right way around in a circuit. Your keyless entry remote will not work if you connect battery wrong way.

When the new battery installed, verify key fob functionality by pressing buttons. If everything is functioning, assemble your fob’s shell in reverse order.

The last thing to do is put your cover back on fob. Gently try to put the two halves in place by hands from top to bottom. Check your keyless entry remote body for gaps. If it is not firmly closed try to repeat last step. Screw fastener in the back of the keyless entry remote.

Slide the metal ignition key back in to the bottom of the fob until it clicks in to place.
