2014 ram remote window roll down

  • #1

Anyone know how to turn off this feature? Somehow my key fob hit the unlock button (while in my pocket) a few times and caused my windows to be down in a rain storm all day

Is this a factory feature or included with my Tazer? I went over the Tazer install info and did not see anything about turning the feature off. This is scary having a feature like this!!!

I’ve had my TRX for six months and I didn’t even know I had this feature! This is amazing!

It is. Right from their web page, on the list of features (this one's under the Live menu)

  • Control front windows up/down from keyfob (EXPERIMENTAL)

It's from the tazer, not a factory option. I don't think you will be able to disable it!

Just got an email back from Tazer tech support. He stated it is not a setting on the Tazer. Wtf??

God damn lol, it definitely is. It's in the instructions to. That's one of the reasons why I bought it!

Whats even more concerning is the other day I walked out into my garage and my tailgate was popped open and up against the garage door. Luckily I noticed it before I opened the garage door. That would have definitely done some damage. When I was doing some things around the house with the fob in my pocket it must have hit the button.

Its on the tazer not a factory setting. @Boosted probably knows

Can someone without a Tazer try hitting the unlock button 5x to see if the windows go down? If this is a stock feature I want my dealer to turn it off!

From Tazer tech support:

“That's a mistake on our website. That's not an option that's present on the Tazer DT. If it's on there and it's just missing from the manual, then it would not be on by default, it would have needed to be turned on by you.”

Now I'm confused lol

So did you accidentally turn it on when you set up the tazer? Or did happen with out the tazer?

He does it at 18:08

Tried 5x, 10x. Nothing. No Tazer. 2021

Do you have to turn it on or is it already preset to be on once you install the tazer. If it is preset can you turn it off?

Ok… so it is part of the Tazer and Tazer does not know it? I checked all the menus in the cluster and can’t find anything about windows. So at this point it seems like you are stuck with it when you install the Tazer.

That’s one of the reasons I’m not buying one. They don’t know what there own shit does?

  • #17

It is a feature of the Tazer DT. Question is, how do you press the unlock button 5x on your key fob by accident? Asking for a friend…

I've had no issues with my Tazer, April will make it a year!

Driving over 4 states last week and my "Lane Keep Assist" throws a code and disables my auto hi-beams. In other words, no high beams in the pitch black. The error tells me I need to go to the dealer to fix. So, I go into my Tazer DTC clearing feature and clear the code. Lane keep and high beams working again. Worth its weight in gold.

I get the fact that the Tazer gave you the ability to clear the DTC and re-enable things, but why couldn't you have just turned off auto high beams through the UConnect menus, then operate the high beams manually?

And for those wondering what Lane Keep Assist has to do with auto high beams - they both rely on the camera in the DASM (big module behind the rear view mirror) to detect both lane markings, and approaching headlights.
