I'll answer that for you: the engine bay
Where would it get intake air from after installing a SRI?
I'll answer that for you as well: the engine bay.
Unless you're running an intake that draws air from outside the engine bay there is genuinely no difference and you have nothing to worry about.
Besides... the car will be in motion when the SRI is used most... driving the car brings cooler air into the engine bay.
TL/DR: go mod your car and be happy. Turbo cars aren't as finicky as you're making them out to be.

Worked well had mine for about a year, until it recently just crumbled apart when taking it out to clean it one day. The cone (other than the mesh) that the intake filter is inside of is made of plastic and after a year of hot and cold days that plastic got brittle and broke. But for that year I had it, it worked well sounded good and I noticed a bit of a difference afterwards.
