As of 9/12/2022, most of the 2023 models are available to build and price on Jeep‘s site. The 4xe does not yet have pricing information available, but you can sign up for updates. These models will be available to buy at Jeep dealerships throughout the United States and in select international markets. 

The standard Jeep Grand Cherokee and Grand Cherokee 4xe are built at the Jefferson North Assembly Plant, while the Grand Cherokee L is built at the Mack Avenue Assembly Complex. Both plants are located in Detroit, Michigan.

The starting price of the standard 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee SUV ranges from $39,000 MSRP for the Laredo trim up to $59,675 MSRP for the Summit trim. For the three-row 2023 Grand Cherokee L, the starting cost ranges from $41,000 MSRP for the Laredo trim up to $61,675 MSRP for the Summit trim. These prices are a slight increase from the 2022 Grand Cherokee.

The price information is not yet available for the 2023 Grand Cherokee 4xe plug-in hybrid. However, like the other Grand Cherokee models, the 4xe will likely cost slightly more for the 2023 model year. The starting price of the 2022 Grand Cherokee 4xe ranges from $55,865 MSRP for the Base trim up to $69,820 MSRP for the Summit trim.

The 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee offers three engine options: a 3.6-liter V-6, a 5.7-liter Hemi V-8, and a plug-in hybrid. Here are the horsepower (hp) and torque (lb-ft) specs for each engine:

  • 3.6-liter V-6: 293 hp/260 lb-ft
  • 5.7-liter Hemi V-8: 357 hp/390 lb-ft
  • Plug-in hybrid: 375 hp/470 lb-ft

Grand Cherokee models with the base 3.6-liter V-6 engine offer a choice of a rear-wheel drive or an all-wheel drive system, while all other models come standard with all-wheel drive. Also, the Grand Cherokee can tow up to 7,200 pounds.

A benefit of the Grand Cherokee 4xe plug-in hybrid is the ability to drive with only electric power. It has an estimated electric driving range of 25 miles. Another benefit of the Grand Cherokee 4xe is efficiency. It has an estimated gas mileage of up to 56 combined MPGe in electric mode and 23 combined mpg in hybrid mode. The gas-powered Grand Cherokee has an estimated fuel economy of up to 22 combined mpg.

What’s new for the 2023 Grand Cherokee? 

Following the redesign for the previous model year, the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee SUV is primarily a carryover model. However, it has some feature upgrades across the trim lineup. This includes the newly standard Uconnect 5 NAV infotainment system with 10.1-in. digital touchscreen for the Limited and Overland trims, as well as the newly available nine-speaker Alpine audio system for the Limited trim.

Also, the Overland and Summit trims offer a newly available 19-speaker McIntosh audio system. Additionally, the Trailhawk trim is now available exclusively with the 4xe plug-in hybrid engine.
