At first glance it has the right oem color and seems to have the GM label. However, after I removed the oil filter the dealer installed on the previous oil change I question whether this is OEM. Would love to have amazon services LLC comment as to the authenticity of this product. Look at the pictures and you decide. It is advertised as OEM ACDelco product. Although the actual filter looks and feels identical to OEM. These could be OEM AC Delco filters from another overseas country (there are many languages printed on the box) but are they manufactured with the same filtering capabilities? Maybe.... but I'm not taking any chances. Diesel engines are 10k to replace, not worth the risk for $20. The filter was covered in what looks like cardboard fibre and with the opening not being sealed with plastic the inside must be contaminated. Oil filters should always come in its own packaging or sealed in plastic to prevent contaminants from getting in which could end up causing engine damage.
