My instance of McMyAdmin keeps on crashing every time I change my modpack in a way that causes Forge to prompt

... Run the command /fml confirm or or /fml cancel to proceed.
Alternatively start the server with -Dfml.queryResult=confirm or -Dfml.queryResult=cancel to preselect the answer.

Entering "/fml confirm" from the McMyAdmin console does nothing. The only command that works at this point is '/quit' as the server is now quite stuck.
Looking at McMyAdmin.conf I can see a place to pass arguments to java, but how/where would I pass "-Dfml.queryResult=confirm" to the server.jar?

    I'd do that but...

Do you know how many throwaway accounts I have on various support forums? I don't because i've lost count.

I'm rather hoping to get a reply from some place I do have an account.

Odd logic though, since the other forum is dedicated to supporting that specific product and creating an account is not that much work.

I wouldn't go to a Suzuki dealership when my BMW needs service

No. I'll go to Franks Motors 'cuz he'll fix my car no matter what the brand, quite a bit cheaper than the official dealers (who are only interested in servicing cars in their service warranty period really) and with and equal, or probable greater, attention to quality.

    Bad metaphor.

lol. True, for most cars it's not the best metaphor but unless a shop gears itself specifically to BMW the odds are rather unlikely that they would have the computer needed to interface with the BMW diagnostic system.

*** SOLVED *** Well, this is better than nothing, but

At the McMyAdmin console will confirm the prompt and allow the load to continue.

Thank you Farproc. Registered just to post this. The double-slash eluded me. Saved me a lot of trouble. Thanks again.

If your server isn't starting, it could be caused by a variety of issues. The steps below should allow you to find and resolve the issue.

  1. Check your console for any errors - this is always the first step if something goes wrong. Errors in your console will be able to tell you what's wrong.
  2. Check your console to see if any crash reports were generated - if so, check the latest crash report as this will be able to tell you exactly what went wrong.
  3. Temporarily rename your plugins directory and restart your server. This will load your server with no plugins, so if this resolves the issue, you will know a plugin is causing the problem.
  4. Stop your server and temporarily rename all of your world files, then start your server again. If this resolves the issue, you will know that your world data is causing the issue.

If options 3 or 4 does resolve the issue, then you will know it is caused by either a plugin or a world corruption or invalid block/chunk. If it's caused by a plugin, you can disable individual plugins one by one (by renaming the .jar at the end to something like .jar.disabled) until you find the specific plugin causing the issue.
