Is there anyone who used both? I tried DML and I dont like its consistency. Can anyone tell me if Skin Relief Lotion also has same consistency?

DML comes off like eraser dust 🙃.

I have, & there's practically no difference. Both sink in equally, moisturize soothe & repair equally, smell the same, feel the same, have the same matte finish on skin.

Even though blue one is more expensive & claims more oats or whatever it performs the same. Maybe it's a tiny bit thinner than the original in texture but if you closed your eyes you wouldn't be able to tell.

level 1

Hey could you post some texture shots of the dml? Anyone who uses the skin relief, could you please please please post texture shots?

Also, I'm sorry if this is a lil unrelated, but could anyone pls post texture shots for the aquaoat lotion?

I haven't tried the Skin Relief Lotion so I can't give you a comparison but you're right about the Daily Moisturising Lotion. Neither do I enjoy it's consistency nor does it feel hydrating or moisturizing enough for my combination skin.

I have dry skin and was eager to use it. In the end, it gave me breakouts. So, used it as a hand/body cream.

Yes agreed with the weird texture. It seemed more silicony to me and was not giving me the moisturizing feel.

100% agree! It is just great on my dry patches somehow

If it's breaking you out, stop using it.

Some body lotions and face lotions can be used interchangeably. There's usually not much of a different except for texture in some cases, they're just marketed differently. I use the fragrance-free Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion on my face (even though it's a body lotion). Of course, keep in mind that most people's facial skin is more sensitive than body skin, so some lotions that work for the body may not work for the face.

But it's not that "this lotion isn't for your face", it's more like "your face doesn't react too well to the lotion". Every person's skin reacts to different products in a different way. Just because something is marketed as for facial use doesn't mean it won't break you out, which is always why you patch test before using any new product :)

I have normal skin with oily spots. I've been using Aveeno moisturizing lotion for my day moisturizer for so long I don't even know if I can critique it at this point.

It gets the job done. My skin feels hydrated throughout the day without getting oily (I mean, it gets dewey, but not like an oil slick.) It smells nice, a little goes a long way, it sinks into the skin without looking white, and it's light enough to wear under sunscreen and makeup. Plus the one I use has SPF15, so that's a bonus.

They have two types: a green one (called daily moisturising lotion), and a blue one (called dry skin relief). I'm not really sure how they differ but I think they are quite similar.

They don't say they are for the face specifically, they contain colloidal oatmeal and petrolatum.

I'm trying to compare between the Aveeno and Cerave (which has hylauronic acid +ceramides) moisturising lotion. I've just started Accutane so I want something that will be very moisturising and not cause breakouts.

Any ideas on Aveeno vs Cerave? Which is better for hydration: colloidal oatmeal+petrolatum or hyaluronic acid+ceramides?

Can you use Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion on your face?

You can also use this on the face if you wanted. Overall, the Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion is a great product for a good price. It can feel quite moist on the skin, so my recommendation is that it's best for drier skin types (or as a winter product, perhaps).

What happens if you put the Aveeno lotion on your face?

While it is not designed as a facial cream, and there are other Aveeno brand products designed for facial care use specifically, there are not any active ingredients in the Aveeno Moisturizing Lotion (for the body) that are harmful or dangerous if used on the face, so the short answer is generally yes.

Does Aveeno Daily moisturizer clog pores?

Answer: Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion is indeed non-comedogenic which means it won't clog pores.

Is Aveeno good for face skin?

I used this Aveeno daily lotion after my face wash, Minimalist toner, and serum and it perfectly moisturized my skin without making my face look oily or heavy. It gave an instant suppleness and softness to my skin which I really enjoyed. It actually improves skin texture and skin health over time.
