Show Azithromycin for sore throat Asked for Male, 30 Years I am suffering from sore throat & cold..My doc diagnosed it as phayringitis & prescribed azithromycin.. dosage suggested was 250 mg two times for 3 days.. last time another doc gave me 500 mg once daily for 3 days.. I read on net that azithromycin dosage for sinusitis is 500 od for 3 days while for pharyngitis , it is 500 on day 1 followed by 250 twice daily for day 2 to day 5 ..
