Food Truck Fridays

Fridays in Founder’s Square take on a party atmosphere when a variety of food trucks roll into town from 5-9 p.m. Shops and restaurants around the square remain open, adding to the festive atmosphere, while Slater’s outdoor bar offers beer, wine, and bartenderprepared cocktails throughout the night. It’s a favored tradition in Babcock Ranch and a great way to meet new and old friends.

Happy Hour at Slater’s

Slater’s Goods and Provisions, in Founder’s Square, offers happy hour specials from 4-7 p.m., seven days a week through September. Cool down with $3 margaritas, piña coladas, strawberry daiquiris, and specialty punches, as well as $4 Crown Royal, Zing Zang and Ketel One branded drinks.

Entertainment at Pi Local

Transforming the beloved pizzeria into a lively social hangout, Pi Local, in Crescent B Commons, holds a free, pop culture trivia night from 6-8 p.m. every Tuesday and hosts live musical entertainment from 5-8 p.m. every Friday.

Happenings at M’Xuma Tacos Mexican Grill

Fourth of July 5K at Babcock Ranch

This 8 a.m. Independence Day race is a scenic, 3.1-mile course around Babcock Ranch that starts and ends in Founder’s Square. Racers of all ages are invited to vie for awards and bragging rights. The cost for participation is $25 until June 20, $30 until July 3 and $35 on race day. Expect food trucks, vendors, and a sense of accomplishment at

Small Business Forums

Square Scoops Ice Cream Cart

Every Saturday and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m., the Square Scoops ice cream cart tours Babcock Ranch residential communities, kids’ hangouts, and business areas, offering a wide selection of frozen treats and cold beverages. Listen for the clarion call.

Exercise Classes at Cypress Lodge

Staying in good shape is easy thanks to these free fitness programs offered six days a week at Cypress Lodge: exercise classes led by Lee Health instructors at 9 a.m. Mondays and Wednesdays, and yoga at 9 a.m. Saturdays.

Nature Talks

Kitson & Partners environmental mitigation manager and wildlife biologist Christina Kontos to help protect the vital habitats at Babcock Ranch, and residents are invited to join her at Sunset Park for a series of free, one-hour nature talks while strolling local trails at 9 a.m. July 30, Aug. 27, and Sept. 24. Formerly with the Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission, Ms. Kontos looks forward to meeting locals, answering questions and sharing her vast knowledge and insights about wildlife conservation and the area’s natural resources.

Brunch Around the World

Take advantage of this popular series of monthly Saturday brunches at the Cypress Lodge that highlight food from around the world. The $12 per-person feast from 10 a.m. to noon includes two mimosas or the featured country’s specialty drink. It’s a treat for all the senses, with ambient music and shaded seating around the pool deck to cast a jet-setting vibe. July 9 features Canadian cuisine, Aug. 6 celebrates the tastes of Brazil, and Sept. 10 is all about Germany.

Babcock Ranch Cleanup Crew

Volunteers are invited to help keep the community pristine and beautiful in this team-building activity from 8 a.m. until the job is done, every third Saturday of the month (June 18, July 16, Aug. 20 and Sept. 17). The group meets in Founder’s Square, where those who pitch in are equipped with garbage bags and gloves and given instructions.

Summer Kickoff Party

School’s out, and it’s time to celebrate the lazy days of summer from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 11, in Founder’s Square. Kids will love all the fun activities, including inflatable games, a rockclimbing wall, bounce houses, obstacle courses, and more. Food trucks will be there, too. Admission is free.

Father’s Day Challenge

To show off their great patriarchs, Babcock Ranch families are invited to bring Dad to Jack Peeples Park from 9-11 a.m. Saturday, June 18, for a superfun fitness challenge. Dads will have the opportunity to celebrate with their kids through feats of strength, dexterity, and overall superhero-ness. Admission is free.

Pool Party at Cypress Lodge

Games, a DJ, and food trucks make a splash at this summertime cool-down for the entire family. Bring your dark shades, hats and sunscreen to the pool party from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, July 15, at Cypress Lodge. Although guests of all ages are welcome, kids under 5 cannot participate in the pool games. Admission is free.

Back-to-School Bash and Safety Day

Prepare to celebrate the start of a new school year from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, July 30, in Founder’s Square. There will be lots of fun activities, food trucks, appearances by law enforcement and fire department representatives to equip families with safety tips, and a few other surprises. Admission is free.

Prosecco at the Pier

Enjoy musical entertainment and the good company of friends and neighbors while sipping a beverage from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 12, at Innovation Tower near Cypress Lodge. The cost for this adultsonly get-together is $8, which includes two drinks (choice of wine, beer, soda, or water) and Mediterranean appetizers. A cash bar is also available.

Mobile Bike Medic

Repair guru Steve Oliveri of MobileBikeMedic.com comes to Founder’s Square on Friday, Aug. 26, bringing his special brand of TLC to bikes that need it. Residents are asked to drop off their bicycles at 9 a.m. and Mr. Oliver will contact you when the necessary fixes are done. The cost will vary on a case-by-case basis, depending on what needs to be done.

Chalk the Walk

Kids of all ages are invited to express their creativity on the sidewalks from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Aug. 27, in Founder’s Square. Chalk will be provided for this free, fun-in-the-sun event.

Labor Day Picnic

Come together as a community from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 3, in Founder’s Square to pay tribute to the contributions and achievements of American workers. Enjoy $4 hot dog baskets and $5 burger baskets with chips, the Wonderland Cookie Dough truck serving sweet treats, DJ music and kids’ games on the lawn. Bring blankets and chairs.

Guests can visit Founder's Square, the heart of Babcock Ranch, to enjoy fare from ten of the area's most popular food trucks, including Buddha Blends, Classic Cuban, Kona Ice, Ma Petite Creperie, Red Roc Cravings, Rollin' Raw Bar, Squeezers Lemonade, Sweet Cheesus, Table & Tap and Zoet Sweet Boutique.

What is the HOA fee for Babcock Ranch?

What are the recurring fees? The recurring HOA fees currently set at $140 per month. This amount is billed quarterly by the association. Residents will have a choice of membership to other facilities.

Is Babcock Ranch a good place to live?

People that gravitate to Babcock Ranch naturally are stewards to and enjoy the environment. Residents can enjoy outdoor activities, explore numerous trails that will reach 50 miles once the community is finally completed. They can also view the local garden and visit the dog park.
