Anybody know if the Gulf Coast Poker Championships or the Million Dollar Heater will be returning to Biloxi in 2022??

I have heard the Heater will not run in 2022.

I know that Pearl River is running a tournament series in January ...

A floor person at the wsop in tunica told me that the September Gulf Coast poker at the Beau is scheduled to run as of right now.

I have heard "rumors" that the Beau may be having the Million Dollar Heater in January 2023 ?

I hope this is true !

Has anyone heard anything?

I've heard the same rumors but have not confirmed with any of the staff. No updates on the website.

Biloxi, Mississippi – Multiple dealers and managers at the Beau Rivage Poker Room have been terminated as a result of an investigation conducted in part by the Mississippi Gaming Commission (MGC) into illegal “home game” activity.

Poker room manager Henry Garrison has agreed to step down.

Sources say Garrison reported the illegal activity involving several of his staff to upper management after being alerted by a player in his room.

The MGC is well known for its vigilance in enforcing the state’s ‘illegal gambling’ policies. This sends a message that even during tough times such as a pandemic, illegal gambling will not be tolerated in Mississippi.

Mississippi, and in particular the gaming industry, has been hit hard by COVID-19. The Beau Poker Room, which reopened October 1, 2020, is currently operating at reduced capacity, 6-handed with plexiglass.

Neither The Beau Rivage nor Henry Garrison responded to requests for comment at the time of this publication.
