I recently got a Capital One credit card but I’m unable to add it to Apple Pay. I get a message saying my card issuer doesn’t support Apple Pay but the Capital One website says they do support Apple Pay. Anyone else had this problem or know how to fix it?

Please be sure to manually add the card and double check all card information. Beyond that, you’re gonna have to contact Capital One. That’s a message generated by the financial network. (Meaning Visa/MasterCard or Capital One). Contacting Apple won’t affect this.

They have told me categorically on a few occasions they do not intend to support Apple Pay in the near future.. I have been asking and since 2016

I just received my Quicksilver card today and can’t add mine to Apple Pay so I age Capital One a call and they said to try again in 30 days ಠ_ಠ

I had the same problem and was only able to add the cards to my apple wallet through the Capital One app
The capital one app has an option that adds your card to your mobile wallet

How do you do that? I couldn’t find that option in the app. I live in the UK so I think I might not be able to.

Is it a standard capital one card or co-branded? Co-branded cards I believe cannot be used in Apple Pay

After hours of searching and not being able to find a fix. I thought I’d share the kudos for John in Tampa who FINALLY was able to solve my issue. If you toggle to the watch app on your phone and select capital one > install it on your watch > sign into the app on your phone > go to apple wallet on your watch > add your card with the name exactly as it is on your card. That’s it! :)

I cannot add my capital one Journey card to apple pay. I got the iphone 11 almost a week ago. I used to have a samsung. This card was added to my samsung pay but I deleted it off of that one. I can add my debit card to apple pay, just not this one.

- If you are getting a message to contact the card issuer, call the bank or credit card company who issued you the card to make sure there are no restrictions on the card.
- If you are getting a message that Apple Pay services are unavailable at this time, sign out of your Apple ID and back in.
- Check your Apple ID region to make sure it is correct (//appleid.apple.com/)
- Check the region on your device to ensure it is correct (Settings>general>language & region - set to your region)
- A passcode is required to use the Wallet app.
- You need to be in a region that supports Apple Pay - Countries and regions that support Apple Pay - Apple Support
- Your bank needs to support Apple Pay - Apple Pay participating banks - Apple Support
- Sometimes if you sign out of your Apple ID and back in it resolves the problem.
- If none of these suggestions are able to resolve your issue you can go here for further assistance - If you can't add cards to Wallet for Apple Pay - Apple Support
