If you’re a fan of country music superstar Carrie Underwood, here is some news that is going to make your day!

According to PEOPLE, the 38-year-old “Jesus, Take the Wheel” singer will be the headlining performer at the 2021 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. The news that Underwood would headline the popular holiday parade was released by NBC on Monday, Nov. 1.

Carrie Underwood will reportedly be performing songs from her holiday album, “My Gift.” That album was originally released in 2020. The special edition – “My Gift (Special Edition) – was released during September 2021.

The singer isn’t the only popular performer who will be showcased during the 2021 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on Thursday, Nov. 25. Another artist who will perform is Kristin Chenoweth. The Tony-winning and Emmy Award-winning singer is known for her role in the original Broadway cast of “Wicked.”

Chenoweth has also appeared in “Pushing Daisies,” “Schmigadoon!,” “Glee,” and “The West Wing.”

Darren Criss, who has also appeared on Broadway, will also perform during the parade. Criss is known for his work in “Glee,” “American Crime Story: The Assassination of Gianni Versace,” and “Hollywood.”

Viewers and attendees of this year’s parade can also expect to see Kim Petras, Chris Lane, Nelly, Kelly Rowland, and Andy Grammer. The cast of “Girls5eva” will also perform.

A few Broadway shows will have the opportunity to show off their performers to viewers of the parade. One cast performing in the parade will be that of “Moulin Rouge!”

The casts of the musicals “Wicked” and “SIX” will also perform.

Viewers will also get a look at the cast of the upcoming television event “Annie Live!” during the parade.

In-Person Attendees Will Be in New York City to Watch Carrie Underwood, Others Perform During the 2021 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

As if Carrie Underwood, other popular artists, and the casts of popular Broadway shows weren’t enough, the 2021 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is also offering other reasons for viewers to tune in.

Many of the parade’s famous balloons will be back again this year. There will also be new balloons. One of the new balloons will be Grogu from “The Mandalorian.” Another new balloon will be Ronald McDonald. Pickachu and Evee from “Pok émon” will be another new balloon. Viewers will also get to see a balloon based on the book, “Ada Twist, Scientist” for the first time.

This year’s event will mark a return to in-person attendees. The 2020 parade did not allow people to watch along the streets of New York City. This was a safety precaution during the COVID-19 pandemic. The first Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade took place in 1924. It first aired on NBC in 1953.

If you plan to watch Carrie Underwood and others perform during the 2021 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, mark your calendars. The parade will air on NBC and Telemundo beginning at 9 a.m. on Nov. 25.

Carrie Underwood is ready to celebrate the holidays! The “Cowboy Casanova” singer blessed fans with a special performance during the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. From a snow-covered set filled with holiday decorations, Carrie sang her hit holiday tune “Favorite Time of Year.”

For the AMAs, Carrie wowed in a black gown and showed off those incredible vocals. Jason sang along with Carrie and played the piano as well.

Carrie is gearing up for her highly-anticipated Las Vegas residency. REFLECTION kicks off on December 1. This is Carrie’s first-ever residency. She’ll be joining Celine Dion, Katy Perry, and Luke Bryan as the founding headliners at the Strip’s Resorts World Las Vegas.

“Touring is one of my favorite things I get to do as a performer and we’ve all really been missing that,” Carrie said in a statement. “I love being on the road and coming to the fans where they live but it will also be fun to get to do multiple shows in one place where people will be able to come to get that concert experience and have some fun in Las Vegas at the same time.  It’s such a special honor to be one of the first artists to get to perform in a brand new, beautiful, state-of-the-art theatre at such an exciting new destination as Resorts World Las Vegas.”
