 Show I’m heading to a Roger Dunn store for the first time, in Feb, and had a few questions about fitting. Are they able to custom fit used clubs? Am I required to buy what I’m fitted for or can they let me hang on to a printout of the measurements for future use? Do they let you try out clubs, new or used, in store before you buy? Thanks! Log in or sign up to leave a comment level 1 Roger Dunn is good. They're pretty much the same as any of the bigger golf retail chains. They've got knowledgable people working there and can do a solid job of fitting, but that said they definitely don't have the same level of clubhead and shaft availability of a true dedicated fitter like a Club Champion, True Spec, or Cool Clubs. They'll definitely let you demo anything they carry including used clubs (ours you can just grab pretty much any demo or used set you want and just go hit in an open bay) and they'll help you out if you ask for it. If you're going and getting an actual fitting from them they generally have several bays reserved for that with more advanced setups (generally these will have the head measuring component of their GCQuads turned on or some are Trackmans instead). You're absolutely not required to buy anything, but if you're going in for a more advanced fitting they may charge some amount if you don't purchase there. They'll give you the specs and you're free to look around. They can custom fit used clubs to a point. They all have build shops and do what you'd need but the only things they're going to be able to actually swap out demos for are on new clubs. So you could demo various shafts and lie angles and lengths on new demo sets from the fitting cart and then look to see if they have something used close to that and test the used stuff as well, but you're going to be limited to whatever's available to test there. You could have them adjust a used set however you'd like if you want/need extensions or lie angles altered it's fairly easy and you could even order new shafts if you had to, though at that point the expense puts you over into close to the price of a new set custom ordered a lot of times. level 2 Tons of useful info!
