Dr seuss we are all a little weird

If you ask any of my family members or friends they will tell you that I am weirdo. But you know what? I am 100% happy with that! Being weird means rarely having a boring moment. Being called weird is a compliment not an insult. It’s who I am and it makes me feel unique, which, is a truly amazing feeling.

The thing I love about Dr. Seuss is that he encourages us to embrace our inner weirdo. What he’s really trying to teach us is how let our inner child loose, how to be authentic.  In our adult life we spend so much time stuck in the hustle and bustle of work and other aspects of life that we forget that it’s okay to be silly. There’s a difference between maturing and growing up, and I for one never want to grow up.

I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells. Fantasy is a necessary ingredient to living, it’s a way of looking at life through the wrong end of a telescope. These are things I encourage you to do as they allow you to laugh at life’s realities.

You can find magic

wherever you look.

We are all a little weird and life is a little weird, and when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness and call it love.

Even though being a grown up can be a drag I do realize that sometimes it’s a fact of life. So be a grown up when you have to, but remember to have fun with it. Adventures wait just around the corner.
