About this Printable

The PDF download consists of a single page with a black and white Mother’s Day card design. Toddlers and preschoolers should be able to colour the card, but if ever your kids are a little older, it also includes some more intricate details that will make it fun for them, too.

The foldable card measures a total of 10×7 inches, which makes it 5×7 inches when folded. This means that once the card is coloured in and folded in half, it will fit perfectly inside a standard A7 envelope.

You can then choose to either deliver it by hand or send it by mail to surprise to Mom, Auntie or Grandma!

1. Print Card

Once you’ve requested and downloaded the file, open it on your phone or computer and print the Mother’s Day card template on a sheet of Letter-sized paper or cardstock.

Note: While you can use regular printer paper if that’s what you have on hand, I recommend using cardstock. It’s a lot sturdier and because it’s thicker, it will prevent the ink from bleeding through if your child decides to colour the card with markers.

2. Colour Card

Colour in the drawings using crayons, pencils, markers or whatever else you have on hand. I stuck with pinks, reds and purples, but my preschooler had fun using metallic pencils to make the hearts shimmer!

3. Cut Out Card

Use scissors to cut along the lines. You can also use a paper trimmer if you happen to have one at home, but this is totally optional and scissors will work just fine.

4. Fold Card

Fold the card along the line in the middle.

Once the coloured in card has been folded in half, write a message on the inside. Then, place it in an A7 envelope and either mail it or hand-deliver it on Mother’s Day!
