At Fresno Oral Maxillofacial Surgery & Dental Implant Center, our goal is to make each of our patients feel comfortable, informed, and safe. Your care is our top priority. Drs. Gerald Alexander, Allen Chien, Ardavan Kheradpir, and Shannon Barnhart strive to provide every patient with optimal service and compassionate care. We have four locations throughout the central valley in Fresno, Clovis, Madera, and Reedley, and we aim to offer the same high level of care in each office. Our extensively trained staff assists with the various procedures we perform, from dental implant placement and bone grafting to wisdom tooth removal and the treatment of oral pathology. Additionally, our oral surgeons are on staff at Community Regional Medical Center, Clovis Community Hospital, St. Agnes Hospital, Children’s Hospital Central California, Kaiser Permanente – Fresno, and Veteran’s Affairs Hospital – Fresno.

Dr. Gerald Alexander

Dr. Gerald Alexander is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon with over 30 years of experience. He has been a part of Fresno’s medical community since he founded Fresno Oral Maxillofacial Surgery & Dental Implant Center, and he is truly dedicated to his profession.

Dr. Alexander did his oral surgery training in Fresno, and after working in Vancouver, BC, for a couple of years, he returned to Fresno to open his practice. He has dedicated his practice to helping patients and treating them with respect and kindness. Outside of his work with his patients, Dr. Alexander teaches residents at local hospitals. He enjoys sharing his expertise to help future surgeons learn the nuances of the oral and maxillofacial surgery profession.

Dr. Allen Chien

Dr. Allen Chien is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon. He has years of experience extracting teeth, placing dental implants, and performing the full range of oral and maxillofacial surgery procedures. He has lived in Fresno since his oral and maxillofacial surgery training, and he greatly enjoys residing in the central valley with his family.

When he isn’t at Fresno Oral Maxillofacial Surgery & Dental Implant Center, Dr. Chien participates in a variety of dental and medical charity events in Fresno and the surrounding communities. He is also on staff at our local hospitals for trauma calls and other more extensive procedures. Open and honest communication is central to his practice. He appreciates working and communicating with referring dentists to treat their patients. Dr. Chien was a dentist before he became an oral surgeon, and this experience gave him a unique perspective. He has extensive knowledge of all dental and oral surgery procedures.

Dr. Ardavan Kheradpir

Dr. Ardavan Kheradpir is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon at Fresno Oral Maxillofacial Surgery & Dental Implant Center. As a young man, Dr. Kheradpir was treated for a facial injury, so he understands the treatment process from the perspective of a patient as well as a healthcare provider. A person’s face and smile are important to their entire identity, and Dr. Kheradpir takes pride in helping people achieve good oral and facial health.

After finishing his dental degree and oral surgery residency, Dr. Kheradpir went to medical school and completed a general surgery internship to further his knowledge of the medical field. Having both a medical and a dental degree allows him to treat patients with the highest level of training available. When he’s not at the practice, he also has staff privileges and does trauma calls at many of our local hospitals.

Dr. Shannon Barnhart

Dr. Shannon Barnhart is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon. After finishing her oral and maxillofacial surgery training, Dr. Barnhart served in the U.S. Airforce, treating patients in need of dental and facial procedures at a military and veteran’s hospital in Las Vegas. Once she finished her service there, she joined Fresno Oral Maxillofacial Surgery & Dental Implant Center. Outside the practice, Dr. Barnhart has staff privileges at many of our local hospitals, where she also takes trauma calls.

Dr. Barnhart enjoys being part of a practice that makes the full range of oral and facial procedures available to their patients. She believes in treating all members of the care team with respect, from referring doctors, to patients, to other members of the practice or hospital staff. Every patient deserves individualized care to fit their needs, and Dr. Barnhart finds it very rewarding to help patients improve their lives. Whenever possible, she participates in dental charity events to help improve the health of the Fresno community.
