About Us

My husband and I are a small breeder of German Shorthaired Pointers located in Ocklawaha, Florida.  After breeding Weimaraners for 8 years  we decided to breed German Shorthaired Pointers.  We fell in love with the GSP breed. They are beautiful, smart and make the perfect family pet or hunting companion.  Our dogs are bred for exceptional temperament, calm disposition, intelligence, soundness, quality and health.  The puppies have georgeous markings with the classic shorthair qualities. Whether enjoying the outdoors or just lying on our sofa, they are always an important part of our family. We do our very best to ensure each puppy goes to a wonderful loving home.

About GSPs

German Shorthaired Pointers are an outstanding all around dog. They are faithful, clever, willing , spirited, do well with children and just love their families in general.  Excercise is important for these amazing dogs.  The smooth coat of the Pointer is very easy to groom.  Just brush regularly with firm bristle brush and bathe only when necessary.  German Shorthair Pointers are average shedders and are known to live between 12 and 15 years.

Your puppy will have had its tail docked, dewclaws removed.  He/she will have been wormed and first set of shots.  On pick-up you will receive  a Florida Health Certificate, with the name and phone number of our veterinarian.

Why We Are Different

Socialization is an important part of the GSPs upbringing. The puppies get tons of love and attention while with us.  Our Puppies are raised in our home and we love on them a lot!  We spend a great amount of time holding them and talking to them. If a name has already been chosen for your puppy we will start using that name with them. 

Our puppies are raised indoors with controlled climate. We take great care to make sure they are raised in a clean and healthly enviroment at all times. 

Your puppy has its tail docked, dewclaws removed, gets thorough vet check and comes with a Florida Health Certificate, is wormed and has its first set of shots. We will be here to answer your questions before and after you take your puppy home.  You will be provide with the name and phone number of our veterinarian.

You will also be provided with the AKC Pedigree of our Sire and Dam.

These dogs are very easy to train and retrieve naturally. All our dogs love to hunt, but they are also happy sitting in your lap, curled up watching TV! Even though our dogs are bred for hunting, they make excellent companions for your active family. We socialize our pups extensively and feel this gives them an early edge on bonding with their eventual families. You are invited to come and visit with us and see our dogs and operation at any time. We are located in Marianna, FL, which is about 20 miles from Alabama or Georgia. Puppies are $600. They will have had their shots and been wormed. They have also had their tails docked and dew claws removed. They've had extensive socialization. Mike and Sally have been wonderful to work with. My husband has been deployed for 9 months, during that time we lost his dog due to old age. He has always wanted a GSP so I started looking for breeders that might have a litter around his return date. When I told Sally what I was looking for she was totally on board with helping us find the perfect puppy. As luck would have it they had a litter born in August that was ready this past weekend. She sent me pictures and videos over the course we were waiting on her to be weaned. I picked my husband up on Saturday in Jacksonville. Mike and Sally made a 3 hour trip to Lake City on Sunday to meet us and we picked up our sweet Birdie on the way home. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect timing or 2 nicer people to work with! They really went out of their way for us and I can't say enough good things about them.

Sally and Mike are absolutely amazing. I really enjoyed the adoption process and it was amazing to visit them multiple times to meet my puppy. They are wonderful people and treat their gsps as family. Sally would send me constant updates, countless photos and would regularly communicate with me about my puppies progress. If anyone is considering adopting they should look into Rocky Creek Kennels and I will for sure be back soon to add another member to the family. Thank you Sally and Mike!

Mike and Sally were wonderful from day 1. They are passionate and loving GSP breeders who have been breeding for over a decade. They really take care with explaining everything and providing us with all info needed. Would definitely recommend them if you are looking for a beautiful GSP pup. This was our second pup. We have a 5-year-old male GSP (from another breeder) and we got a female pup from Mike and Sally. She is just as they described her: a doll but holds her own.

My wife and I loved the experience. We got updates from the time we picked out our puppy until we picked him up. We got pictures and messages the entire time which made the 8 weeks a lot easier to get through. Our puppy Duke is incredibly smart and picks up on all of our training and loves his days relaxing at home. When we’re ready we will definitely be going back to rocky creek for our next hunting buddy. Loved the kennel and the family that runs it!

We love the way they were always sharing pictures of our pup from day 1 and was willing to meet us half way to pick him up. They don’t do it for the money but for the dog to go to a good home! They are priced very well and look forward to sending them pictures of our boy Dipstick!

They were so good to us and kept us inform with comments and pictures of Tucker while we wait for him to be ready for us. They love on him and that transcend to a good loving dog. Mike and Sally are simply the best!!!! We got our Jesse from them. He is the best dog! So smart and a natural hunter. He is mainly a lap dog for now but he definitely fits into our active lifestyle. The transition to pick him up was seamless. Once we knew we were getting him, we received updates and pictures/videos. It was so awesome watching him grow from such a tiny pup! He came vaccinated & wormed with all the paperwork. Mike and Sally are so great to work with and really treat the puppies with the highest level of care!
