Let me start with the good: The room was incredibly clean. The reservation process when booking this hotel was awesome and Sandra (I am hoping that spelling is correct) was phenomenal. The bathroom was not only clean, but very spacious. I had a river view room on a higher floor that provided a fantastic view of the island and mountains. The daily breakfast was appreciated and really good as far as hotel breakfasts go. I, sadly, did not get the breakfast attendants name, but she was a treat. Such a hard-worker that was very friendly. The location was also very good, so easy to get around with many restaurant options close by. Now, the not so good. The check-in process overall was not great. A VERY long line to wait in for only two front desk attendants. The attendants seemed very annoyed and were anything but welcoming. On two occasions I tried to reach the front desk to questions whether a gym was available and never got anyone to answer the phone. At one point, when there was not a line for check-in, I stood waiting to ask in person and never got acknowledged so I walked away. The two elevators were both functioning, but I can imagine they get bogged down if it gets too busy. The outdoor pool/lazy river looked very inviting and clean, sadly I did not get to use it. But, I did try the indoor pool which was fine. It was heated and a nice size; however, the jacuzzi was unavailable. I was disappointed after a long travel day. I do believe I could have gone across the road to use the sister property hot tub, but chose not to do that. This may seem silly, but I cannot believe the hotel did not have tea bags available. I asked both front desk and breakfast attendant and both stated they did not have them. This just seems odd since coffee is so readily available. I would probably return to the hotel on a return trip, but I was not blown away.
