Overall they have been solid, but the salt eats through the metal supports which requires a replacement every two years or so. This new version seems much sturdier and has a key new feature. No more metal to metal connections. The T-joints are heavy duty PVC. This connection should weather the salt much better. Also, there are no more of those plastic pins used to connect the supports. Those were a hassle! Everything slides together now, which means easier set up and tear down. If this works the way I hope, I should get another couple of years out of this pool.
