I happened to spot the new Frosted Lemonade on the menu and I was anxious to give it a try. The frosted lemonade was like pure heaven. A delish and smooth vanilla milkshake with a bit of sunshine added. The lemon was not overwhelming which was perfect in my opinion. Since the hubby and I were being sneaky and having lunch at Chick-fil-A without the kiddos, I decide to whip up a batch of this yumminess for them to give a try at home. Making them copycat recipes always saves me a bundle.

Lemonade

Directions for making CopyCat Chick Fil A Frosted Lemonade

Blend lemonade and ice cream together.
I use one part lemonade to two parts ice cream.
For example: 1 cup lemonade to 2 cups ice cream.

I get a LOT of questions about what we use to make these, and it’s literally just TWO ingredients and we almost always use the two shown above: Simply Lemonade which is NOT from concentrate and Breyers Natural Vanilla Ice Cream.

You obviously don’t need too use these two brands, but I can tell you, they are tried and tested and make a pretty close to perfect drink!

Simply Lemonade Flavors

I’m tell you, this is my favorite lemonade brand right now – it’s affordable, ALL natural and so yummy! It also comes in the original regular Simply Lemonade flavor and also available as Simply Lemonade with Raspberry, Simply Lemonade with Blueberry and Simply Lemonade with Strawberry. Which means, you can make this same drink with different flavors! Added bonus, as I mentioned – it’s an all-natural lemonade with no added preservatives, colors or artificial flavors!

Of course, you can make this delicious lemonade treat in single serving sizes or you can do a big batch for larger gatherings. How to Make it more of a Frozen Lemonade Drink

If you are looking to make more of a frozen lemonade drink – we have done so by adding frozen concentrate directly, which makes it even icier, and usually a bit more tart. 

You can really add more or less lemonade as you see fit.

We like ours a bit thicker, but you can obviously thin it out by adding more lemonade.

I find that the creamier the ice cream is, the better these blend and taste. (In other words… spend a little bit more for the good stuff, you’ll be glad you did!)

If you are looking for an even more refreshing drink, you can also add ice to the blender for more of a slushy frosted lemonade. 

However you decide to make your own Chick-fil A cold lemonade drink at home, you’ll find that you can modify it to what you have on hand in your own home. Sometimes we make it with a lot of lemon flavor, and sometimes it’s just a hint of lemon – either way – it’s always a homemade lemonade treat that everyone loves! My kids always ask for my frosted lemonade copycat recipe and it’s so easy to whip up that I’m usually more than happy to make this delicious treat!

During the summer months, I just make sure to keep the key ingredients on hand (always on my shopping list to the local grocery store) and that way – I’ve always got good quality go to recipe on hand. The only thing wrong with making this drink is that my daughter usually asks me if I can make Chick Fil A Chicken Nuggets too, lol!

Serve in chilled glasses and garnish with lemon slices.
