How To Remove or Block Someone From Your Facebook Fan Page

Have you ever had someone posting inappropriate content or try to incite another fan on your Facebook fan page? It could simply be someone who tries to use your wall as their advertising platform. If you have asked nicely and they simply won’t stop, what are your choices? How can you remove or block them from your page?

Here is the step-by-step process of how to remove or block someone from your Facebook Fan Page.

1. Go to the Banned Users tab.

I know, it is confusing going to the Banned Users tab before you have even banned someone but that is where you have to start! Go to Settings, click on Banned Users, and you should see a box that says ‘Banned’. Click on the arrow, and change this to ‘People Who Like This’. 2. Find the person you want to remove.

Click on the arrow next to their name, and select ‘Remove’. Once you click on this, you will also be given the option to permanently ban them.

Finally, if you find you’ve mistakenly banned someone and would like to remove the ban, simply go through the same process, but select ‘Banned’ from the drop down list instead of ‘People Who Like This’.  Click on the arrow to the right of the person’s name, and you should see the option to “unban” them.

And that’s how to remove or block someone from your Facebook Fan Page!

Here is how to remove someone from a Facebook page:

1. Open the Facebook page.
2. Click on ‘Settings’ on the left column
3. Click on ‘Page Roles’ in the left column
   
4. Search for the user you want to remove from the Facebook page
5. Click on the ‘Edit’ button next to their name
   
6. Select ‘Remove’.
7. Confirm that you want to remove the person from the Facebook business page.
8. You enter your password.

If you go through this process, the person now should be removed from the Facebook page.

What happens when you remove someone from a Facebook page?

Once you remove access of someone who previously had a page role on the Facebook page, they will no longer be able to access the Facebook page as an admin, editor, moderator, advertiser, etc.

However, if you change your mind and you want to add them back to the Facebook page in any kind of Facebook page role, you can do that if you have admin access on the Facebook page.

Can’t remove someone from the Facebook page

Here are the most common issues that can arise when you want to remove someone from a Facebook page.

First, you have to be a Facebook page admin to be able to remove anyone from the Facebook page. If you don’t have admin access currently, check out these tutorials:

Secondly, if you are the only person who has admin access to the Facebook page and you want to remove yourself from the Facebook business page, you first have to add an admin to the Facebook page before you would be able to remove yourself from the page.
