How to set up recurring payments on zelle wells fargo

I can't figure it out. Zelle doesn't seem to have a recurring payment feature, and tbh the lady I'm sending it to is old and doesn't understand technology so not much can be done on her end. Does paypal do recurring payments to personal accounts? Am I just hella dumb and not seeing something super obvious?

  1. Log in to your account on the Wells Fargo website or mobile app.
  2. Find the “Bill Pay” option on the account home page and select “Set Up Recurring Payment”.
  3. Enter your bank account routing number and account number. This is the account from which Wells Fargo will deduct your payment each month.
  4. Select your payment amount. Choose from the minimum amount due, the current balance, the statement balance, or a customized amount that is more than the minimum payment.

You should always make sure your bank account has enough funds for the payment to be processed. Also, don’t forget to review your recent transactions regularly for any suspicious activities.

You can set up a Wells Fargo automatic credit card payment online, or by phone. If you call customer service, you will need to request an enrollment form. It may take from 30 to 60 days to process your enrollment form, so you should continue to make at least the minimum payment until you receive notification on your statement that your automatic payment has been set up.

An automatic credit card payment, or AutoPay, electronically debits your payment from a linked bank account. You can choose to pay the entire balance, the minimum amount due, or a customized amount. Your bank account will be debited on the payment due date. An automatic payment ensures you are never late on paying or paying less than the minimum amount due.

Here’s how to set up a Wells Fargo automatic credit card payment:

  1. Log on to Wells Fargo Online. Under Account Services, select “Set Up Recurring Payment” under the Transfers section. You can also call customer service at 1 (877) 805-7744 and request an enrollment form.
  2. Enter or include bank account information, including the routing and account numbers. This is the account from which your payment will be deducted.
  3. Specify whether you want to automatically deduct the minimum payment, the full balance or a specified payment. Your chosen amount will always be deducted on the statement due date and cannot be changed.
  4. You can contact customer service to modify or cancel automatic payments, but any changes may take 30 to 60 days to process. The current automatic payment amount will stay in effect until your receive notification on your statement the new payment amount has been updated or cancelled.

A Wells Fargo automatic credit card payment can help maintain your payment history, which is a major component in calculating your credit score. On that note, you should always make sure you have enough money in your bank account to cover your monthly payment. An automatic payment returned for insufficient funds will not only incur a returned “check” fee of up to $37, your payment will be considered late, and will cost you an additional $37 maximum fee.

When you pay your Wells Fargo credit card with funds from another bank, it should take about 3 to 5 business days for the payment to process, compared to 1 business day when paying from a Wells Fargo account. You can also set up automatic payments from your other bank, which will ensure that Wells Fargo withdraws a payment on time every month. However, Wells Fargo says it can take 30 to 60 days to process a request for enrollment in automatic payments.

If you want to pay your Wells Fargo credit card with money from another bank by mail, write a check from that bank account and send it to Wells Fargo Consumer Credit Card Services, P.O. Box 51193, Los Angeles, CA 90051.

One other way to pay off your Wells Fargo credit card using another bank is to transfer the Wells Fargo card’s balance to another bank’s credit card. Ideally, you’d want to transfer to a card that has an introductory 0% APR on balance transfers and a low balance transfer fee. That way, you’ll save money when paying off the balance.

How do you stop recurring payments on a credit card?

The best way to stop recurring payments on a credit card, like utilities, subscription services or rent, is to contact the service provider directly. You may be able to do that online, by phone, in person or by mail, depending on the service. You should make your request at least three days before the next scheduled payment date, to avoid having another payment go through. Even if you’ve already paid for some of your recurring expense, it’s still worth calling the biller’s customer service department to ask about getting a partial refund if you cancel. This can actually work with credit card annual fees, too.read full answer

A recurring payment on a credit card is when you give a merchant the authority to automatically charge your card for a product or service at regular intervals (e.g., monthly) until cancelled. Recurring credit card payments can be household expenses such as a phone or electric bill, or a contract payment like gym membership dues. Other recurring payments include loan installments and charges for subscription services such as Netflix, Amazon Prime or Spotify.

You shouldn’t have trouble stopping a recurring payment in general. But the big issue is making sure to identify all the services you may be charged for on a recurring basis, and then stopping the ones you don’t want before you get charged again.

Here's how to stop recurring payments on a credit card:

  • Online: If you have an online account with the merchant, you will need to log on. There should be a link under your bank information tab to stop recurring payments.
  • Phone: Some companies allow you to stop recurring payments by phone. Even if you cancel online, this is a good way to confirm the payments have been stopped.
  • Get confirmation: Make sure you keep a confirmation page, number or certified mail receipt to prove that you made a request in case you run into any trouble.
  • Be firm: If you call, the representative will probably try to talk you out of stopping payments. Politely insist they cancel. If they refuse or say they can’t cancel your payments, request a mailing address to send your request.

If all else fails and it is within your right to cancel, you could report any future charges to your card as fraudulent. This will get the credit card issuer to intervene.

Finally, while you’re allowed to stop recurring payments, you’ll need to find another way to pay if you plan to keep getting service from the provider in question, especially if it’s something like rent. Some places may only let you pay using a card, so you could always substitute a debit card instead of a credit card. But you’d have to make sure you have enough money in your checking account every month.
