Why am I having a problem enrolling my email address in Zelle®?

When you initially enroll your Regions account with Zelle, you may receive a notification that your email address is registered with another financial institution. Only one account can be connected at any given time. View the Activity tab where a prompt allows you to "Transfer Email" in your profile. This will connect the desired email address to your Regions account and you can start sending and receiving with Zelle through our Regions Online Banking site or Regions Mobile App. For assistance with this issue, contact us at 1-800-472-2265

Follow these easy steps

Enrolling your eligible U.S.-based checking or savings account is quick and convenient. You can do it right in Wells Fargo Online® or the Wells Fargo Mobile® app.

  1. Sign on and select Transfer & Pay.
  2. Go to Send Money with Zelle® and view the Welcome note.
  3. Read and accept the Zelle® Transfer Service Addendum.
  4. Enroll an email address or U.S. mobile number, and select the account where you want money to be deposited.

You're ready to use Zelle®.

Note: You may receive a one-time verification code for each email address or U.S. mobile number selected. If so, enter it in the verification code field.

Sending money is fast and convenient. It’s already part of your Wells Fargo Mobile app.

  1. Sign on and select Transfer & Pay.
  2. Go to Send Money with Zelle®.
  3. Select a recipient from your list or add a new recipient. Then choose a From Account, and enter the amount.
  4. Select Review and confirm that the email address or trusted U.S mobile number and name are correct.
  5. Select Send.

To receive money, you’ll need to enroll your own email address or U.S. mobile number and choose an eligible Wells Fargo savings or checking account where you want the money deposited.

  1. Sign on and select Transfer & Pay.
  2. From the Zelle® screen, select Receive Settings or Settings.
  3. From the Settings screen, choose the U.S.-based account where you want money to be deposited, then select Register beside the email address or U.S. mobile number you want to use, or both.
  4. Let the sender know you accept payment with Zelle®. They'll need your U.S. mobile phone number or email address to send.

Note: You may receive a one-time verification code for each email address or U.S. mobile number selected. If so, enter it in the verification code field.

Requesting money using a smartphone through the Wells Fargo Mobile app is fast and convenient. Note: Make sure your email address or U.S. mobile phone number is enrolled with Zelle® through your Wells Fargo Online account.

  1. Sign on and tap Zelle® in the bottom bar.
  2. Then select Request.
  3. Select from your list of recipients or " + " to add a new one.
  4. Enter the amount you're requesting, double-check it to make sure it’s correct, then select Send.

Can I log into Zelle with email?

Get started by enrolling your email or U.S. mobile number through your mobile banking app or with the Zelle® app. Enter the preferred email address or U.S. mobile number of the recipient.

How do I use my Zelle email instead of phone number?

Select Send Money at the bottom of the screen, then choose Preferences at the bottom of the list. Select Choose mobile number, Choose email, or the Linked account. Select the desired mobile number, email address, or another linked account. Your changes automatically save.

How do I log into my Zelle account?

Initially, you'll use your online banking username and password to link your bank account to the Zelle® app. After you're enrolled, you'll use your Zelle® password to log into the Zelle® app. You can also use Touch ID or Fingerprint to log in if your phone offers that feature.

How does Zelle work with email?

You can send, request, or receive money with Zelle®. After you've enrolled, simply add your recipient's email address or U.S. mobile number, the amount you'd like to send or request, review and add a memo, and hit “confirm.” In most cases, the money is typically available in minutes1.
