When Private Browsing is on in iOS 7 Safari, no data is being stored on your iPhone. You lose any evidence of the websites you're visiting as you browse the Internet and you can't access them via your history later. To check if you're in Incognito mode, tap Switch tabs You'll only browse in private when you're using an Incognito tab. You can switch between Incognito tabs and regular Chrome tabs:
