Jo Ling Kent announced that she will leave the morning show. On Wednesday, September 7, she shared the news on Twitter. Jo Ling included a collage of photos of herself on the set and behind the scenes of the Today Show. The first one shows her preparing for a news report. The NBC News correspondent wore a bright red trench coat. The next photo shows her interviewing someone behind the desk.  The Today Show host also shares a selfie of herself with her colleagues, which include Al Roker, Carson Daly, Craig Melvin, Savannah Guthrie, and Hoda Kotb. She also includes a photo of herself out on the field. In her tweet, Jo Ling explained the reason why she’s leaving the show behind. “This summer I took a big leap and decided to leave @NBCNews after 6 amazing years as a business/tech correspondent. What a privilege + honor to be part of an *incredible* team of journalists but it was time for me + my family. Ready to shake things up, excited about the future!” Jo Ling tweeted.
She hasn’t shared what inspired her to move on. She only revealed in the following tweet that she is “grateful” for her experience on the Today Show. Jo Ling is also grateful for all the “extraordinary experiences” she’s had. She followed up with even more photos of herself on the set of the morning show.
