Community, Lions Club enjoy the return of June Jamboree PENDLETON — The numbers aren’t all in, but Pendleton Lions Club president Betty Weist felt it was pretty safe to say the 2021 Pendleton Lions Club June Jamboree was a success. From June 8-12 the jamboree was back. Crowds enjoy the fun during the annual Pendleton June Jamboree. Tom Russo |
Daily Reporter From Elephant Ears, K-burgers and a huge assortment of rides – nearly 20 on the midway this year – the Pendleton Lions Club June Jamboree returned last week. The annual celebration, often called the unofficial start of summer, was held June 7-11 at Historic Falls Park in Pendleton. Along with the enjoyment that goes with the carnival atmosphere, the yearly festival, put on by the Pendleton Lions Club, raises money for the organization. The Lions Club uses the funds from the jamboree for community needs. Luehr’s Ideal Rides has provided midway entertainment for the event for over 50 years. |
