And yet, in honor of the day celebrating the dish, Kraft has teamed up with Van Leeuwen Ice Cream on a new limited edition, mac and cheese flavored ice cream. If you're hoping to buy the ice cream in a physical store and don't live in one of those cities, you're probably out of luck. Fortunately, there's another way to get your hand on some.  This pint of ice cream is a collaboration between Van Leeuwen and Kraft. Van Leeuwen is a hip, Brooklyn-based ice cream company that is no stranger to unique flavours such as Earl Grey Tea and Royal Wedding Cake. They launched the flavour on 14 July 2021, just in time for National Mac and Cheese Day. The great thing about Van Leeuwen is that they specialise in French ice cream, which means they use eggs to make their ice cream. So, you have a thicker consistency and richer consistency. Okay, so we definitely cannot get out hands on this ice cream right now, but we can dream. After all, you’ve got to love that this pint is decked out in the same Kraft blue that we have come to know and love in the supermart. The verdict that we have found remains divided. Some people love the creaminess and the cheesiness that ice cream provides, and there is that salty-sweet burst of flavour that is unexpected for ice cream. But, others simply baulk at the flavour and can’t really swallow the mouthful. Well, if you do manage to get your hands on it or know someone who has, let us know.
