Lightest person in the world 2022

We wrote about Johnnie Harris not even a month ago when he pushed 680lbs raw and paused the lift. We were genuinely flabbergasted by the power it must have took for him to press over 2.3 times his bodyweight, which was 131.5kg (290lbs) at the time of that lift. We expected Harris to have a record breaking 2020. But even we didn’t expect it to happen so soon.

He simply posted this lift with the caption,

Although his exact weight at the time of this lift is not yet confirmed, it is confirmed that Harris was under 136kg (300lb) at the time of this bench press. That means Harris is the lightest athlete to ever bench press 317kg (700lb). He stands alone as the only athlete to do so with a bodyweight under 136kg (300lb).

The 31 year old Harris made his competitive powerlifting debut in November 2019 at the 5th Maryland State Championships hosted by the United States Powerlifting Association (USPA) where he broke the unofficial International Powerlifting League (IPL) world record for bench press only in the -125kg (275lb) weight class with a 655lb press. He attempted a 705lb bench on for his third attempt at this meet but failed.

The current unofficial world record raw bench press is 342kg (755lb) set by Julius Maddox earlier in January 2020.

We’re not sure what’s more impressive: the fact that he benched so much weight or that he added 20kg (45lbs) to his bench press in just twelve weeks at such a high level.

For this post, we will be looking at the world skinniest set of people, I know that someone’s confidence will be boosted after now__smiles.

1. Lizzie Valasquez

Lizzie Valasquez was born on the 13th March 1989, she resides at Austin in Texas, Lizzie weighs 58 Ibs (26kg). Lizzie is required to eat every fifteen minutes (60 meals) to survive. She, therefore, takes between 5000 – 8000 calories-per-day.

Lizzie has a sister named Marina and a younger brother named Chris who she considered as the world’s best protector. Though Marina considers herself the eldest, despite the 5 years age difference.

Some sources speculated that Lizzie was born prematurely and weighed only 1Kg after she was born. Though, doctors believed that Lizzie wouldn’t be able to survive. She, however, managed to survive.

Lizzie’s skinny condition is triggered by a very rare condition known as “Neonatal Progeroid Syndrome (NPS)”. She is one of the three people that suffer from that condition.

This condition is known for causing premature aging, just like Progeria. She now looks older than a normal human who is in her mid-twenties.

Lizzie also has vision problems, making it difficult for her to see. The sad thing is the vision continues to decline. Aside from these, diseases that might be harmless to other persons is completely dangerous to Lizzie.

Lizzie is a renowned motivational speaker and author and has so far managed to attend over 200 workshops since she was 17 years of age regardless of her health condition.

2. Loana Spangenberg

Loana is measured to have 20 inches (50cm) waist, which is 5-inch bigger than a CD’s circumference. She was also nicknamed by the public as “Human Hour Glass” due to her 32-20-32 figure.

Loana is 5ft – 6 tall and weighs about 84 IBS. The reason for her own anorexic condition is not known, but experts have been fast to link it to “Fast Metabolism”.

Loana Spangenberg is a Roman model. Her skinny condition is considered as a natural one and not as a result of starvation.

In her response to interviews regarding rumors about her anorexic condition being spurred by starvation, she explains how she has been trying to put on some weight by eating three square meals each day that consists of pieces of stuff like Crisps, Pizza, and Kebab.

3. Tom Staniford

Tom is a professional Cyclist whose body shape is as a result of a rare condition that his body is unable to store fat. Tom was born on 1 July 1989, He is a British citizen and one of the eight persons in the world suffering from what is called “MDP Syndrome.

The cause of this strange a scarce condition was a mystery which doctors were unable to discover until recently which they came out with a precise explanation as to what might be the real cause of the challenge and yet it can’t still be treated.

Cathie’s tiny waist was as a result of her constant wearing of a corset. According to her she first wore a corset on her wedding day in 1959, and she has been wearing it ever since then.

At age 28, Cathie’s waist size was 64 centimeters. Cathie who is the mother of 3 children is now over70 years of age, and weighs about 43kg, still retaining the record of “The woman with the smallest waist”.

1. Edward Niño Hernández

Edward Niño Hernández is the current world’s shortest man according to the Guinness World Records.

He was born on May 10, 1986, and certified on certified as the world’s shortest man by the Guinness World Records on the 4th of September 2010.

Hernandez who lives in Bogotá, Colombia is 0.7 m (2 ft 3 1⁄2 in) tall and weighed 10 kg (22 lb).

2. Lin Yü-chih

Lin Yü-chih is on the list of the world’s shortest people. He is the former world’s shortest man according to Guinness World Records.

Lin Yü-chih who is 67.5 cm (2 ft 2.58 in) tall works as an author and social activist at Taipei, Taiwan where he currently resides.

3. Chandra Bahadur Dangi

Chandra Bahadur Dangi is the world’s shortest man recorded in history by the Guinness World Records. This title hasn’t been taken away from him, even though he is dead.

Chandra Bahadur Dangi who was from Nepal was born on 30th November 1939 and died on 3rd September 2015.

He was 54.6 cm (1 ft 9 1⁄2 in) tall.

4. Khagendra Thapa Magar

Another man on the list of the world’s shortest people is Khagendra Thapa Magar. He was born on the 4th of October 1992 and died on the 17th of January 2020.

Khagendra Thapa Magar was from Nepal and was 0.67 m (2 ft 2 in) tall.

World’s Tallest Man

The world’s tallest man ever recorded in history is Robert Pershing Wadlow. He was born February 22, 1918, and died July 15, 1940.

Robert Pershing Wadlow who was born and raised in Alton, Illinois, a small city near St. Louis, Missouri was 8 ft 11.1 in (2.72 m) tall, and weighed 439 lb (199 kg) at 22 when he died.

World’s Fattest Man

Brit Keith Martin is the world’s fattest man. He weighed 445 kilos and was 44 when he died.

Keith Martin, consumed about 20,000 calories daily in a diet. His meal consisted of 6 fried eggs for breakfast, and pizzas, kebabs, take-outs, and Big Macs for lunches and dinners.

Keith Martin could barely move his body. Hence, he was washed by 7 carers daily, and his wounds were tended by 2 nurses.
