Voted #1 Car Show in the United States by USA Today/10best for the past two years, Minnesota Street Rod Association’s (MSRA) Back to the 50’s Weekend really needs no explanation. But, we put together this guide anyway.

    What

    The nation’s #1 Car Show is a true blast from the past. Check out more than 11,500 registered classic vehicles, live music, vendors, kids games, a craft fair and hang with Dave Kindig and of MotorTrend TV’s Hit Show Bitchin’ Rides and Justin Nichols from Wrench'd. Returning for the second year is entertainment on the Westend Shakedown Stage and the Bandshell Stage will be rockin' as always. Not to mention, some of your favorite State Fair food spots may even be open (we're talkin' cookies, pronto pups and pork chops—don't forget a stop at Saint Paul's own O'Gara's).

    June 18-20

    Friday, June 18: 8 a.m.-10 p.m.

    Saturday, June 19: 8 a.m.-10 p.m.

    Sunday, June 20: 6 a.m.-3 p.m.

    Minnesota State Fairgrounds

    Why

    Because the MSRA has been showing off the nation’s coolest throwback cars for the past 46 years, so why would they stop now?

    How

    Tickets are $12 (cash only)—kids 15 years old and under get in free with a paid adult. Discounted tickets are available for $10 at participating NAPA Auto Stores throughout the Midwest.

    updates:

    Update 6/8/22

    The entry emails went out tonight.  There are still sites available in the south, these sites will not have access to power.  If you are looking for a site contact .

    update 5/22/22

    The second round of invoices have gone out, the north campground is full with a long waiting list.  There are still sites available in the south, these sites will not have access to power.  If you are looking for a site contact .

    As the invoice states:

    ​​A few days before the event you will receive another email detailing the process of placing the campers onto the campground.  If you are in the south it will also state if your assigned site has access to power.

    update 4/6/22
    The invoices for both campgrounds have gone out, if you do not receive an invoice by 4/8 please email the campground you applied in and we can check on the status of your invoice.

    North campground is full, with waiting list.  Emails will be sent to all campers on the waiting lists.  These emails should be out by 4/11.

    There will be another informational email going out early June that will include items needed for entering the campgrounds June 16th, this email will also tell whether your site has access to power (south campground).


    update 2/25/22
    We are working to get the camp spots assigned, we estimate this will be completed by the end of March or the 1st week in April.  If you are assigned a spot you will receive an email with an invoice.  We will update this page when the invoices are sent out.

    If you emailed for a site, we did get it.  Our email system only sends responses on the first email received from each sender.  If you have emailed the campgrounds we are working on getting through the 700+ emails.

    The application emails were sent out at approximately 8:00 pm central time tonight, 2/19/22.

    The January email was sent out today 1/31.  If you did not receive an email send an email to or and we can look into the trouble.  Another email will go out in mid-February.
