And I love you so
The people ask me how
How I've lived till now
I tell them I don't know

I guess they understand
How lonely life has been
But life began again
The day you took my hand

And yes, I know how lonely life can be
The shadows follow me 'n' the night won't set me free
But I don't let the evening get me down
Now that you're around me

And you love me, too
Your thoughts are just for me
You set my spirit free
I'm happy that you do

The book of life is brief
And once a page is read
All but life is dead
That is my belief

And yes, I know how lonely life can be
The shadows follow me and the night won't set me free
But I don't let the evening get me down
Now that you're around me

The Record came in perfect shape, and in perfect conditiont, it was packaged just right for mailing something so fragile. Rick at ricksdic was so nice, he helped me correct my mistake and made sure what I wanted and where I wanted it sent were all also correct. I hope I can have the chance to order from him again and to correspond with him again to thank him in person. Thank you and please give Rick the credit due him. Thank you Kathryn

When I was a child in the 1950s, my parents always watched the weeky Perry Como TV variety show. Even though I was starting to move into the music of my generation, I was fond of Perry and learned to appreciate just how great a singer he was. So, here I was, listening to Elvis and Perry at the same time! I continued to admire him and buy his records and watch his show whenever it was on, especially his Christmas shows over the years. He was truly one of the great masters of song and knew how to project meaning and substance into a song, particularly love songs. His voice was mellow yet strong and he had a range that few today could understand. It's geat to have his records put onto CD so that we can listen to the richness of his voice in the clarity new technology has to offer. These two albums are no less than magnificent and I will surely enjoy them over and over again!

I am so glad I purchased this CD. Perry Como has always been one of the finest singers from the USA. From It's Impossible to And I love you so, Perry proved he was still a viable and likeable singer in the rockin, dancin, Disco 70's. His version of We only just begun and Close to you will make you forget the Carpenters. He covers many of the songs from that era in his soft casual manner, and you will sing along with him too.

Perry is a part of our lives from season to season and all the holidays.

You will really enjoy him as an aging crooner who can still sing and bring joy to your life. We all truly lost one of the great ones May 12, 2001, but his voice and songs live on and on.

Like so many,i always view PERRY COMO as the singer who used to sing novelty songs like HOT DIGGITY.While this was true,it is also reductive and of course he deserves more. Those two albums have contempory songs of the early seventies.PERRY delivers competent performances on all of them but fails to put his stamp on them.He can not for instance makes you forget THE CARPENTERS's CLOSE TO YOU and WE'VE ONLY JUST BEGUN.Perhaps the novelty songs was COMO's force after all.

I've always been a Perry Como fan. (In fact, when I was a teen, I was president of a Perry Como Fan Club). This recording is great, especially "It's Impossible".

This cd contains 2 recordings of Perry Como that had the hits "it's impossible" and " I love you so on them. These 2 songs became big sellers for Mr. C. back in the 70's. This cd contain the complete albums and has some nice and mellow renditions of songs that were popular at the time. Perry delivers these songs with his smooth voice and feeling for the lyrics.

If you're a fan of Perry Como's golden age, these albums might not exactly be your style.

But what they really showcase is just how broad his talent was -- His version of "Killing Me Softly" is the best version ever of that song, and other standout tracks between these two records include For the Good Times, I Want to Give, It All Seems to Fall Into Line, and surprisingly, Something.

Perry Como is probably the single most underrated vocalist of that era. While there are better albums for getting a sample of his sound, this represents a part of his career that you won't want to miss.

I had one of the albums "And I Love You So" when it was first released back in '73. I always liked it but gave all my vinyls away when leaving UK back in December '94. Was a great opportunity when I saw it was available, together with the "It's Impossible" album as I have remained a fan of Perry Como's. I was so pleased to receive them and to find the recordings are of such high quality.
