Rated 5 out of 5 by from The only treatment that has helped my acne I bought this after seeing so many positive reviews. I have moderate cystic acne due to a medication that I have to take. On top of that, i have very very sensitive skin. I tried numerous other acne systems, treatments, and washes and they either didn't work or made my skin worse. After just three days of using this, I noticed a difference. And it doesn't seen to dry out my skin as much as the others that I've tried have. The only bothersome thing about this is the smell when you initially put it on your face. Thankfully, the smell dissipates. Use it every day! I've been using this for about 8 months now. I got it as a sample and then ended up buying the big bottle. It's lightweight and moisturizing without making my face greasy or causing breakouts to worsen. I honestly think if I put it on at night, my face is halfway healed by morning. I'm absolutely hooked. And I have combination skin. I get dry some places and oily others. This seems to work regardless! Highly recommend. (Shout out to the PTR emails I get.) While I have had relatively calm/clear skin most of my life, I have always struggled with mild acne, and the occasional "wtf-how-did-that-get-there" giant red bump. As I have gotten older, particularly, I have noticed THOSE types more often, which is really a drag in both my professional and personal lives. I have been using this product two weeks now, and it has been terrific not only at keeping acne away, (preemptive warfare) and also helping to quickly dispense with pesky little pimples that decide to try to show up, so long as I get them doused early. I admittedly also use PTR's sulphur masque twice a week (highly recommended), and the two products together have my skin looking and feeling better than ever. I have even noticed, as this product claims, that my dark spots from prior dust-ups with acne are starting to fade. HUZZAH. Would definitely recommend this to a friend, a colleague... whoever. do you put this on before or after face cream?Asked by: demi Hi Demi! You want to use a thin layer of this product on cleansed skin, let absorb completely (about 3 minutes) then you can apply a moisturizer. Hope this helps! Should one should use both products at the same time or are there are instances where one should use one instead of the other?Asked by: Kristi Hi Krisi, The main difference in between the two is that the Spot and Area treatment has 5% colloidal sulfur and the Clearing Gel is salicyclic acid based. You could use both at the same time as they treat acne differently, the Spot and Area treatment is great to treat existing break outs while the clearing gell helps decongest 'problem areas' to prevent breakouts.
