Slope and Y-Intercept Calculator
Step 1:
Enter the linear equation you want to find the slope and y-intercept for into the editor.
The slope and y-intercept calculator takes a linear equation and allows you to calculate the slope and y-intercept for the equation. The equation can be in any form as long as its linear and and you can find the slope and y-intercept.
Step 2:

Let's do this problem:
m=3, containing (2,3)
In other words, you need to find the line with slope m=3 that goes through the point (2,3)
A line in slope-intercept form looks like
y=mx+b
But you know m=3 so your line looks like
y=3x+b
Let's find b by plugging in (2,3) for (x,y)
(3)=3(2)+b
b=-3
So the line is y=3x-3
(You got this one right)
Here's a graph that shows that y=3x-3 is the line that has slope 3 and goes through (2,3)
y=3x-3, (2,3)
