Our Mr. Low had won care and control of two children for a busy father against a homemaker mother in TJP v TJQ [2016] SGFC 4, and more recently in late 2019 for a father against a working mother. (VBI v VBJ [2019] SGFC 110) in which it was ordered the working mother will receive no maintenance support from the husband, and has to contribute towards the child’s monthly maintenance. (Case pending appeal by the other party now and will be heard in 2020). We have also successfully secured a lumpsum maintenance of S$2.38m for a housewife through negotiations. We have just successfully fended off an injunction filed by a wife against a husband recently.
Our Ms Chan had successfully conducted a 20 over days contested divorce trial for a working wife and substantial costs was taxed against the husband in favor of our client, and in another case obtained a brilliant assets division for a British wife with no children. In a more recent case, she secured a reasonable monthly maintenance for a working Singaporean wife (UKV v UKW [2018] SGFC 35), which was upheld by High Court recently in our client’s favor. In another case, she had successfully obtained a fair division of the matrimonial home for a working mother, which property was an inheritance by the husband and held in his sole name
