staff. This means Urgent Care patients get access to the same specialty support as patients at the main Hospital. Can you get a CT at urgent care? Many urgent care centers are now equipped with a CT scanner, just like local emergency rooms. A CT scan uses a number of X-rays to create images of the inside of a patient's body.
How long do CT scan results take if urgent? It can take several days, or even a week or two, for your results to come through. If the CT scan indicates any abnormal areas in the lungs then the scan will be reviewed by the appropriate hospital specialist.
Why would a doctor order an urgent CT scan?A CT scan may be ordered if your doctor suspects you have a tumor or blood clot. These issues could be a symptom of a very serious problem; therefore the sooner they are discovered the better off the patient will be. These scans may also be used to look for signs of an infection or any excess fluid.
Can you get same day CT?Same or next day availability for contrast enhanced CT scans. Fast and accurate interpretation of your CT scan by our highly trained board-certified radiologists. Prompt reporting of results to your medical provider. Complimentary copies of your images on film or CD on request by your doctor.
