Below are some of the key factors I kept in mind when testing Thrive mascara. These factors helped me decide if I really liked the mascara or not!

The Thrive Liquid Lash mascara comes in a long turquoise tube which feels nice and durable. I've dropped it many times, and it's held up. Not to mention, the blue color is pretty and adds a nice pop of color to my makeup collection!

The Thrive mascara is a 'tubing' mascara which means it forms small little tubes onto each lash. This helps the lashes build and extend for a thicker overall look.

I like the Thrive mascara's formulation because the tubes it forms gave my eyelashes the look of lash extensions! The formulation is also waterproof and smear-proof, so it's great for a night out or an all-day affair.

When I was applying this mascara, it was easy, and it only took about 3 to 4 coats to see the effects! I like to go a little crazy with my mascara application because I love a really full look to my lashes, but you really only need a couple of coats to do the trick!

It's a little more expensive than what you'd pay for a drugstore mascara but not nearly as expensive as other high-end makeup products. Plus, the mascara lasts several months, so it's not a purchase you have to repeat often!

Pros and Cons of the Thrive Mascara⭐

Honestly, there were a lot more pros to my experience with Thrive Liquid Lash mascara than there were cons. I summarize both below!

What I Didn't Like 🧐

❌Not as dark as I like it to be

I didn't love that the color wasn't quite as dark and black as I wanted it to be. When I apply mascara, I want the color to be super dark so that my lashes show up well against my skin!

But that's really the only thing I didn't love about Thrive. And that's not to say that the color isn't dark; it's just not quite as dark as I love (which is a personal preference).

Thrive Mascara vs. Sumptuous Extreme Lash Multiplying Volume Mascara 🏆

When it comes to makeup, Estee Lauder is known as one of the premier high-end brands. And the Sumptuous Extreme Lash Multiplying Volume Mascara is the most popular mascara from Estee Lauder's line.

⭐Thrive Mascara is $5 cheaper.

As far as price goes, the Thrive mascara and the Sumptuous mascara are pretty similar. The Sumptuous mascara costs just $5 more at $29, while Thrive is on the lower end at $24. Both mascaras are pretty affordable but Thrive beats out Estee Lauder by just a bit.

⭐There is no clumping in Thrive mascara and the ingredients are cruelty-free!

Concerning the formula, I liked Thrive's better and thought it applied cleaner. I experienced a few clumps with the Sumptuous mascara. Also, Estee Lauder makeup isn't vegan and cruelty-free like Thrive is, so that's definitely a con for the Sumptuous mascara.

⭐I got darker and thicker lashes with the Sumptuous mascara.

Once I was finished applying the Sumptuous mascara, it was time to see how the formula looked on! I have to say I was impressed with how thick and long my lashes looked. I also thought the black color in the Sumptuous mascara was a bit darker than the Thrive mascara's color.

To do a side-by-side comparison, I applied the Thrive mascara to one eye and the Sumptuous to the other. This helped me see how they compared in real-time. Both mascaras definitely give the lashes an enhanced look, so it's hard to say which one I like better. ❤️

However, because Thrive Causemetic's Liquid Lash is vegan, cruelty-free, paraben-free, and free from sulfates, I have to go with Thrive! It's also a bit less expensive and waterproof. The Sumptuous mascara isn't waterproof, so that's definitely a con, although I do think you can purchase that mascara in a waterproof formula.
