Keep your iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods topped up with these WIRED-tested docking systems.

If you have an iPhone, AirPods, and an Apple Watch, congrats! You have the holy trinity of Apple products. But keeping all of these gadgets powered up can be annoying, since they all have individual cables and proprietary charging solutions. Why deal with all that hassle when a single 3-in-1 wireless charger can accommodate everything? Our Best Wireless Chargers guide has a few recommendations, but there are so many more great docking systems for Apple devices. After months and years of testing, these are our favorites.

    A Quick Primer on MagSafe

    Magnet World

Most of the wireless chargers in this guide are MagSafe wireless chargers. That means they take advantage of the magnets embedded in the back of the iPhone 12, iPhone 13, and iPhone 14 range. I cannot stress this enough: If you buy a case, make sure it is a MagSafe case. We have several third-party options in the linked guides above. A normal case will weaken the pull of the magnets in the iPhone and will not stick to MagSafe accessories well. What's the point of MagSafe? You don't have to worry about misalignment with the wireless charger, meaning you won't wake up to a dead iPhone. Technically, this perfect alignment means chargers are also able to provide faster 15-watt charging, but Apple has restricted this perk to a tiny number of products from select brands like Belkin and Mophie, and we highlight those below.

MagSafe is available in the AirPods as well (depending on your model). Apple's AirPods and AirPods Pro with the wireless charging case will work with nearly all of the standard Qi wireless charging pads on these chargers (as will many third-party wireless earbuds), but if you have AirPods with MagSafe, then you can hook it up to the magnetic mounts as well.

If you do not have a MagSafe iPhone, then your iPhone won't be able to attach to these chargers, though we do have some recommendations for older iPhones (and the iPhone SE).

    Best Overall

Belkin 3-in-1 Wireless Charger With MagSafe

This classy chrome charging tree suspends two of your Apple gadgets in midair, and the relatively compact T-shaped design won't take up much room on your desk or nightstand. It can recharge your iPhone at the fastest 15-watt charging speed Apple allows, and it can also fast-charge the Apple Watch Series 7, Series 8, and Apple Watch Ultra. Drop the AirPods Pro (or AirPods with wireless charging case) onto the base, and you'll be topping up all these devices from a single outlet. Everything sits securely in place, and you can even flip your iPhone into landscape orientation to watch a video while it charges. Belkin also sells a version as a pad if you don't want to have your devices propped vertically.

  • Photograph: Satechi

    Runner-Up

Satechi 3-in-1 Magnetic Wireless Charging Stand

This Satechi 3-in-1 requires you to supply your own 20-watt power adapter (this is a good one if you don't have one already), and it won't recharge your iPhone or Apple Watch at the fastest speeds possible. That's still totally fine if you usually only juice up your gadgets overnight. It's a little smaller than the Belkin, so it won't take too much room, and the aluminum build looks attractive (the iPhone mount is made of stainless steel). One neat trick? You can pop off the Apple Watch charger and take it on the go—just plug the USB-C end into any charger, power bank, or even laptop with the port to recharge your smartwatch.

  • Photograph: Monoprice

    Best Cheap 3-in-1

Monoprice MagSafe 3-in-1 Wireless Charging Stand

You absolutely don't need to spend more than $100 for a simple 3-in-1 charging system for your Apple gadgets. I've been using Monoprice's 3-in-1 MagSafe charger with no issues. It's plasticky, sure, but it does the job. The caveat? You will need to use your own Apple Watch cable (the one Apple provided in the box). There's space in the underside of the base to stow the cable. The good news is that if you have the Series 7, Series 8, or Apple Watch Ultra, your Apple Watch charger will fast-charge your smartwatch.

Otherwise, there's a grooved area for the AirPods, and the iPhone attaches magnetically to the mount on the left of the Apple Watch and will charge at the standard rate (7.5 watts). It comes with a charging adapter too. You can orient your iPhone in landscape mode, but it will then block the Apple Watch charger.

    Best for Older iPhones

    Mophie 3-in-1 Wireless Charging Stand

Are you rocking an older iPhone without MagSafe support? This 3-in-1 charging stand is a sound alternative to the Belkin. The upright magnetic puck for the Apple Watch enables Nightstand mode (basically, a digital clock), and the center stand lets you place your iPhone vertically or horizontally. There’s also an indented spot for earbud cases, ensuring they won't slide off easily. An elegant glass finish lends it a classy look and feel.

  • Photograph: Twelve South

    Most Compact

Twelve South HiRise 3 Wireless Charging Stand

If you're short on space on your bedside table or desk, this 3-in-1 charger from Twelve South is your best bet. There's an angled MagSafe perch for your iPhone, a shelf up top for your Apple Watch, and a spot for your AirPods underneath. It's a compact design that makes it easy to glance at your iPhone, though this does mean you can't utilize the Nightstand mode of your Apple Watch. Unlike some 3-in-1 stands, it's very stable, and everything stays securely in place through the night. It comes with a 5-foot USB-C cable, but you do need to provide your own power adapter (20 watts or above).

Note: I noticed one of my iPhone cases left a bit of residue on the angled iPhone dock on this charger, but this is merely a cosmetic blip (and could entirely have been the fault of my case).

  • Photograph: Nomad

    Best 3-in-1 Pad

Nomad Base Station Apple Watch Mount

A solid aluminum slate with leather padded charging surface, this edition of Nomad’s Base Station includes an Apple Watch mount to insert your own Apple Watch charger (you can pay an extra $20 to include the Watch charger). It is angled to toggle on Nightstand mode. You can put your iPhone and AirPods case down on this pad, and it can deliver up to 10 watts of power to the phone. The back plays host to an 18-watt USB-C and a 7.5-watt USB-A port, so you can plug in any additional gadgets that need refilling. Mercifully, the LEDs dim at night thanks to an ambient light sensor, making it a nice bedside option.

  • Photograph: iOttie

    Best 2-in-1 Stand

    iOttie Velox Duo

Don't have an Apple Watch? No problem. This elegant 2-in-1 stand can recharge your iPhone and AirPods (or other wireless earbuds with wireless charging support). The black and gold combo looks great, the magnet is strong, and there’s a weighted base. On the downside, it only charges iPhones at up to 7.5 watts. The permanently attached USB-C cable is a good length, but you do have to provide your own adapter.

Another alternative: This is another great dual charger for your AirPods and iPhone, but it packs in some additional functionality. The Anker MagGo 633 ($120) lets you magnetically attach an iPhone to the stand, but you can then pop the stand off and it turns into a 5,000-mAh power bank. It will stay on the back of your iPhone in your bag or pocket. When you're back home, slide it onto the dock and pop your earbuds on the base to refuel.

  • Photograph: Mophie

    Best for Travel

Mophie 3-in-1 Travel Charger With MagSafe

I took this little travel kit with me when I went to cover the Apple event, and it worked flawlessly. It comes with a felt carrying case that also includes a charging brick and USB-C cable. Take out the square-shaped stack and unfold it to find three wireless chargers in one elongated pad. The iPhone sticks magnetically to the center and charges at the fastest 15-watt rate, and you can pop up the Apple Watch dock to use Nightstand mode (sadly, no fast charging for the smartwatch). There's a grooved spot for the AirPods on the left. It feels great, is compact, and is pretty lightweight all around.

    Honorable Mentions

Other Good Wireless Chargers for Apple Gadgets

We have tested several other multi-device wireless charging stations for Apple devices. Here are a few we liked:

    • Nomad Base One Max 2-in-1 Wireless Charger for $150: Arguably one of the most elegant chargers, this metal and glass dock will juice up your iPhone at the fastest 15-watt charging rate and has a propped-up magnetic puck for the Apple Watch. It's hefty, so it doesn't slide around. Because it's a pad, you can also recharge other devices too, from AirPods to non-MagSafe phones. It comes with a cable, but you need your own 30-watt charging brick.
    • RapidX Modula 5 Modular Wireless Charging System for $50: This modular system was a great space saver on my last vacation. The pads slot together magnetically and offer up to 10-watt charging for phones (I also used one to charge my AirPods with the wireless charging case), and there’s a special pad for the Apple Watch with a puck that can lie flat or pop up to accommodate Nightstand mode.
    • Ugreen 3-in-1 Wireless Charger for $130: Compact, stylish, and capable of charging all three Apple gadgets out of the box, this fully certified charging station delivers up to 15 watts to juice up your iPhone quickly. It doesn't include a power adapter.
    • Anker 623 MagGo 2-in-1 Wireless Charger for $80: This cylinder-shaped charging station has a flip-up phone platform with space to charge AirPods on top. It’s compact, comes in three colors (I recommend purple), and has the cable and adapter you need in the box.
    • Courant Mag:2 Classics 2-in-1 Wireless Charger for $150: It's way too expensive for what you get, but it's attractive and is made with fancy materials, like Italian-sourced leather. Attach your iPhone to the top MagSafe charger and you can put it in landscape or horizontal orientation. The base has another charger for your earbuds, though I was able to juice up another iPhone as well. Choose the Mag:2 Essentials for an equally luxurious linen material (and a lower price).
    • OtterBox 2-in-1 Charging Station with MagSafe for $130: This charger combines an adjustable MagSafe pad for your iPhone or AirPods with a horizontal puck for your Apple Watch. It is solidly made but expensive, and I found it didn't work with every cable and adapter I tried (you have to supply an adapter).
    • ESR HaloLock 3-in-1 Wireless Charger with CryoBoost for $70: Silly name aside, this is attractively priced and includes a power adapter and cable. You can turn off the light and fan when you’re trying to sleep. But it only charges iPhones at 7.5 watts, and the Apple Watch charger isn’t included. The 2-in-1 version minus the Apple Watch slot is $10 cheaper and looks better.
    • Excitrus Magnetic Wireless Charging Station for $30: I'll be honest. I didn't like this charger, but it works fine and it's dirt cheap. You can charge your iPhone and AirPods on it and use the spare USB-A port at the back to plug in an Apple Watch charger (or something else). The magnet is a little weak (use a MagSafe case!), it has a pointless light-up ring, and the build quality is a little suspect. But with the cable and adapter included, it’s a great value.

    Avoid This One

    Chargers We Don't Like

Not every charger will be a winner. Here's one we didn't like.

STM Goods ChargeTree Go for $120: This charging tree station folds flat and can charge a trio of Apple gadgets. But there’s no quick-charge support, my Apple Watch kept sliding out of place during the night, and there’s no adapter included. It’s not cheap either.
