Bought this suv brand new in 1995, very proud of it. Had synthetic oil from day one. Engine and transfer case are still original. The transmission went at 130k. It was replaced and shortly after the torque converter went. Had replaced the water pump, belt pulley, A/C condenser, the vehicle information center (turns out the solder on the connector broke, just had to resolder), headlights upgraded as the original is too dim, muffler, cat converter, front and rear bearings and seals. Front passenger power seat motor is broken. It is not quiet inside, but I got used to it after all this time. Also, the front passenger floor has rust because of the A/C water coming back inside, really bad design. It is still one click start in the morning, engine's still great. My son who is 22 drives it now. It is my most reliable unreliable car. Show

I ordered this engine and installed it in my home garage in 2 days. I installed a new oil pan, timing chain cover, water pump, shock mounts and thermostat housing. Runs like it’s brand new. Not happy waited 5 weeks when they said it was in stock ready to ship , then it shows up .060 over bore on the cyl and the crank looks like it’s been dropped down a stairwell ! Your paying top dollar of your hard earned money , spend it somewhere else , I’m going to have to upgrade my cooling system because it runs so much hotter
