Direct fit for my wife’s 2012 Durango. Dodge wanted to charge over $1200 to replace blend door actuator, blower motor and resistor. To make it worse, the estimated repair time was 6 weeks due to staff shortage and parts being back ordered. The blower motor would constantly change speeds and the compressor wouldn’t kick on, from you tube videos I found out this is a safety feature Dodge designed so the compressor wouldn’t seize if there ever was a problem with the AC system. I had to explain this to the dealership, this was the only problem in our vehicle, hope this helps.

Perfect fit in my Jeep. Cannot complain. Great price! Would not buy from anywhere else.

I bought this bc I wanted a spare just incase. Turned out both driver and passenger side were broken in my 2012 grand Cherokee.

Driver side is NOT an easy install due to very little room to work. I had to take my sub dash apart, some plastic panels off, and then cut a T25 torx bit down on both ends, so it would fit in between the actuator and the vent. There are some decent YouTube videos on the repair.

Passenger side is way easier with a lot more
Room to work

Fit my 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 3.6l. My heater only work on the driver side. After installing this my passenger side heat work plus the rear. I remember a few years back it was the same issue but this time it was no AC on the passenger side and rear. The driver side had AC. I installed the same gear and it fixed it. I guess the jeep had a flaw on this mechanic design thats why it keep breaking. I'm glad I'm a little fixer guy because the dealer would've charge me an arm and a leg.

I had to replace the passenger side gear on my 2012 Grand Cherokee. This was a perfect replacement. It was not obvious how everything went back together, since the gear had been broken off and the orientation was not known, but after fiddling with it for a bit I was able to get it put back together and the blend door works properly again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fixed my A/C issue saving me over $1,000

The A/C quite working on the driver's side of my wife's 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Passenger side worked fine. Turns out the original gear from the factory had broke, which is a common issue on these vehicles. I wish it had been the passenger side since that repair is 10 times (okay maybe more like 100 times) easier. The repair on the driver's side is a big project because of the trim, wiring, brackets, and knee air bag under the steering wheel, but I got it done. From my research dealer charges $1,300 to $1,600 for performing this repair on the drivers side. Note - Especially when repairing the drivers side since it's so hard to get to you might want to replace the actuator whether it's broken or not. Most times it's the gear. Sometimes it's the actuator. I put the new actuator in and saved the old one in case the passenger side breaks. All in all with the gear, the actuator and a small ratchet tool to swap the parts out I was into it for around $50. Also note: the teeth on the two gears need to be lined up with the two pieces aligned in the "W" shaped notch like in the attached picture. To others that commented that it broke rather quickly after re-install, they likely did not have it re-aligned correctly when they installed. Some people re-calibrate it, but it was not needed on my wife's Jeep. I am appreciative this part was readily available at a good price.

Got this to replace driver side actuator for the jeep, fits perfectly. If it doesnt go in due to the misaligned gear teeth, you will need to take out the cover of the actuator motor and adjust the internal gears to align the teeth.

My 2014 Grand Cherokee randomly stopped blowing cold air from the passenger side. You could adjust the temp to hot and cold and only the driver side would change temps. Did some research and found this was probably the culprit. Installation wasn’t too bad as long as you’re a little bit handy

Hard to believe that this plastic piece is all I needed to fix my hvac in my car. Took a few hours but saved me hundreds if not thousands

How many actuators does a Jeep Grand Cherokee have?

Auto (AZC) systems use two actuators.

Where is the blend door actuator located?

The blend door actuator(s) are typically located on the climate control case behind the dashboard.

What is a Jeep blend door actuator?

The blend door actuator is a small electric motor in your car that controls your car's climate control system. It looks like a small plastic box with a few plastic gears on the inside. It is so small that you could easily fit it in one hand if you were attempting to remove it.
