S&B Intakes Now Available For the Ram 1500 EcoDieselThe Ram 1500 EcoDiesel has been taking the country by storm. With best in class fuel economy that approaches 30 mpg, it’s hard not to tip your hat the EcoDiesel. I’ve always loved driving pickups but the trips to the pump have always hurt. Not so with the EcoDiesel.  Stock EcoDiesel Air Box That doesn’t mean us grease monkeys and gear heads aren’t going to try and squeeze even more out of it. Air intakes have always been popular upgrades to vehicles, regardless of what performance gains the owner is after. Fuel economy, power, and sounds can all have a positive impact. I installed my first “cold air intake” when I was about 15 years old. I had an early 90’s Nissan Maxima and I wanted more power. My install involved a generic cone filter some clamps and… a saw. It was less than professional, I didn’t get more power, but the motor sure sounded good now that it wasn’t being muffled ;). When you install an S&B intake system on your car or truck, you can be sure that you’re getting a quality product. No saws required here! The intake housings utilize all the same mounting brackets as the OE air cleaner box. High quality rubbers and silicones are used for quality seals and air flow and the clear lid makes keeping an eye on the state of your filter a piece of cake. Do I need to warm up my EcoDiesel?Allow Time to Warm Up the Engine
In order to start a diesel engine and keep it running in cold weather, you must make sure you allow plenty of time for your engine to warm up. If you do not let your engine warm up before driving, you will make it work harder than necessary, which will lead to problems later on.
Is the 2022 Ram EcoDiesel a good engine?The 3.0 Eco-Diesel is a remarkable engine. It has lots of torque which provides power to tow, it provides excellent acceleration, it's fun to drive, and it gets 30% better fuel economy than a Hemi V8, with comparable performance. Advantages: +6-10 MPG improvement in Ram over Hemi V8.
Is it worth buying a cold air intake?To answer the question of whether a cold air intake system is ultimately worth it, the answer is yes. Even if you don't notice the benefits, they are still present and are actively helping your car to run more efficiently.
