There is no reaon that you cannot be pregnant, if you have OVARIES AT ALL TECHNICALLY YOU CAN GET PREGNANT.(AS long as you have a uterus too)

A lot of women find that it can be harder to get pregnant with cysts, but it is certainly not impossible.

If you do not want to stay pregnant you do have options available to you, you are not 'stuck'

Hi,

There's all kinds of different ovarian cysts, and while some can affect your fertility, others do not. If you have had a positive pregnancy test, chances are you are indeed pregnant! Certain medications or medical conditions can cause a false positive, but this is rare.

Like the person above me said, if you don't want to be pregnant, you do not have to stay pregnant. I think seeing a doctor is in order at this stage though, whether to begin prenatal care or to look into a termination. The earlier you are in a pregnancy, the more options you have.

I am 6 weeks pregnant and I have ovarian cyst about 3cm .i am getting alot of pain so my doctor put me on Olfen & Baralgen Tablets for the pain. I am also continuing to take metrofomin tablets. I am praying and hoping everything goes well with my baby because I heard the heart beat today.

To Carifairy. This woman only asked about cyst, and a positive pregnancy test. She asked nothing about "options". I belive your coment was quite rude. If she did not want to stay pregnant she would have posted a question pertaining to that subject. Most women consider a baby as gift not a problem that she would be "stuck" with. Please keep your beliefs to yourself IF it has nothing to do with the subject. ***Many women have ovairian cysts and have no symtoms, so they dont even know that they have them. I also had a cyst with my first pregnancy. And continue to have them. I now have 2 children. And continue to have cysts. You can most definetly get pregnant with cysts.

Hi there, I wanted to thank Micha13 for her nice comment. I read your comment 3 months ago and kept my courage to try getting pregnant, It was hard since my cyst became bigger started bleeding in between.
I have tried to get pregnant for 10 years and finally after 4 miscarriages, I am able to stay pregnant. I was bleeding when I got pregnant and it terminated my pregnancies. I was reading how you had 2 children and it kept my hopes up.

For everyone else out there, please stay positif, I am 10 weeks pregnant for the first time and all seems to go well. I was put on Progesterone (prometrium) for 4 weeks to help the baby to cling.
Misha You were very helpful and supportive and I also think that Carifairy's comment was out of line and not only in this reply. Keep up your support to people like us who need confidence and someone to rely on instead being told that you can get pregnant when having ovaries and a uterus as stated by Carifairy. And shame on those telling you to keep your comments to yourself. Please don't! :-)
Good luck and thanks

Greetings,

my last period was on sept 26th (2 days in it, I had a natural miscarriage after having a D&C in July-from May). I was told I could start to try again getting pregnant regardless of this miscarriage in Sept. because my blood count HCV was <1. So we tried. About a month later I started to have pains on both sides of my ovaries, and no period came. I waited 1-1/2 weeks and went to the OB to get a pregancy tests (negative), next week still pain and we did blood work <1 again. This saturday my pains were still so bad I went to the ER to get tested. They did a pregancy test, negative, and they found a ovarian cyst 3cm on my right side. Nothing on my left.

Well yesterday, Thursday, Nov. 16th, I went back to my OB to talk about inducing my period to coming to help get rid of the cyst. They just as a routie took my pee for another pregnancy test. Sure enough, I left and was in the Safeway parking lot when I got the call from the doc, "YOUR PREGNANT". Just goes to show, that even though you still have a cyst you can still be pregnant or maybe about to be.

My pain is still there on the right side (where the cyst is), and the left side feels much better now(since that is the other cyst that ruptured to be pregnant). Good luck.

I'm only 7-1/2 weeks since my last period, but they said since the cyst just finally ruptured (left side) that I might only be about 4 weeks due to this. Odd huh! :-)

Good luck to you all, and keep your hope up. I know its been a ride for me. Shelby :-)

I have had 10 miscarriages and 1 eptopic pregnancy and 1 live birth. and the other day i was at home and started getting really bad pains and thought that i was just having bad cramps and about to start my period because i was late. my husband told me i should go see a doc but instead i took a pregnancy test that came up positive so i went to the er and they did tests and then my doctor ended up admitting me in the hospital where he came in and told me that I had a 8cm cyst on my right and that i may not be far enough long to tell about the baby because they couldn't see anything in the ultrasound or it may be having a eptopic pregnancy. so he wanted to do surgery but i wanted to wait a couple of days to see if my hcg levels are going up. but because the pain is so bad he put me on perkasit (can't spell) which is a narcotic pain killer wouldn't that be bad for the baby if I was pregnanct I'm confussed is it just a cyst, a eptopic pregnancy, or a vital pregnancy.

Yes you could be pregnancy I have Polyscitic Ovary Syndrome and had to take 3 Pregnancy Test before it came out Positive but unfortunetly miscarriaged. So Good Luck kepp me updated!!!

Why do ovarian cysts cause false positive pregnancy test?

Certain medical conditions, such as ovarian tumors, can lead to elevations in the HCG hormone," says Bartos. "For instance, choriocarcinoma, a malignant cancer involving retained placental cells, produce [HCG] in high amounts, just as if it were in a pregnancy."

Can cysts produce HCG?

Conclusion: Mature ovarian cystic teratomas have rarely been reported to secrete HCG. They can be an infrequent source of HCG production and may lead to emergency surgery to treat a suspected extra-uterine pregnancy.

Can pregnancy be mistaken with cyst?

Cysts may be mistaken for an early pregnancy or twin. Detailed breeding history and thorough scanning technique is vital to avoid potentially costly mistakes. Cysts: Uterine cysts are fluid filled, immobile, anechoic structures.
