Your carrier might have an app available to enable you to get two phone numbers on one phone, but they aren’t the only ones. There are plenty of third-party applications that offer these features and more. A good example is the Second Line app, which is cheaper than its carrier-based counterparts.

Google Voice

In exchange, Line2 gives unlimited calls, texts, and MMS. You also get a phone number from a chosen area code. But it shines best since it’s usable on devices running both Android and the iOS, the web, and even smartwatches.

Line2’s other features include caller IDs, call forwarding, group calls that support up to 20 people, and number blocking. You can use this app whether it’s cellular data or Wi-Fi. That ensures you’re never disconnected from your second line.

Flyp

Flyp is an app that enables you to get additional numbers for $7.99 per line each month, up to a maximum of five. It offers a seven-day trial for your first line to help you decide whether it’s the best for your needs. It’s full-featured, offering unlimited calls, texts, and MMS for all numbers, a unified inbox, and free international calls in Flyp-available areas.

This app also allows you to assign a color for each line to avoid confusion. It also offers custom ringtones and voicemail greetings. But the only drawback is the lack of recent updates.
