What are the requirements for real estate license renewal in Connecticut?

All real estate professionals in Connecticut are required to renew their license on even-numbered years. 

To successfully renew real estate licenses in Connecticut, you must:

1. Complete 12 hours of CE courses from a CT-approved school

All CE courses completed after March 31, 2020 (for brokers) and May 31, 2020 (for salespersons) will be counted toward their 2022 requirement. 

This must include two three-hour mandatory CT CE courses and six hours of real estate electives.

OR

1. Pass the 2020-2022 40-item Connecticut CE Examination

If you have passed these examinations, you are not required to renew your license in 2022:

• Brokers CT full licensing examination between April 1, 2020, to March 31, 2022
• Salespersons CT full licensing examination between May 1, 2020, to May 31, 2022
