The app even allows you to send money to an external bank account. There are various methods through which you can send or receive money on Google Pay. Here is a step by step guide you can follow to send money to an external bank account on Google Pay.

To pay one of your contacts, no matter where in India they are, you can follow the below-given steps:
Step 1: First, open Google pay on your smartphone.
Step 2: On the home screen tap "New payment", it will take you to payment options.
Step 3: On the new screen tap Bank transfer option.
Step 4: Once you chose bank transfer, the screen will ask for the following details.
- Recipient Name
- Recipient account number and re-enter once again.
- IFSC code
Step 5: Enter all the required details and tap Continue.
Note: Just make sure you enter the correct details. Because once you send the money, the transaction can't be cancelled.
Step 6: Enter the amount. If you want then you can also add a description and tap done (proceed arrow).
Step 7: On the next page, select a bank account and tap Proceed to pay.
Step 8: Enter your UPI PIN and tap done (tick).
That's it! When the money has been sent, you'll get a notification. You'll also receive an SMS from your bank with the debited amount. However, by any chance, if your transaction to your contact's bank account fails, then the bank might debit the money from your bank account and then refund it. If the amount is credited, you will receive two SMSs for the refund.
