How to change the water filter in my frigidaire refrigerator

Frigidaire WFCB Kenmore 9906 PureSource Plus Water Filter

Replacement Instructions

1. Locate Filter Cup inside fridge at right upper rear wall.
2. Remove upper shelf for more room if needed.
3. Unscrew the filter cup and dump out the water.
4. Pull the old filter straight down and discard.
5. Place the new filter in the filter cup.
6. The end of the filter with the small o-ring should be up.
7. Screw the filter cup (with filter) up onto the housing.
8. The filter should self-align as the cup is tightened.
9. Replace shelf (if removed)..
10. Reset your ‘change filter’ light (if your refrigerator has one).

Resetting Your Filter Change Indicator

Press and hold the reset button on the dispenser until the green light flashes (up to 15 seconds).

Maintenance For Refrigerator Water Filtration System.

1. Flush Filter with Water from Dispenser (Approximately 2 gallons) until Water Runs Clear and air is purged from system.
2. Write the date of installation on the filter and mark your calendar for 4 – 6 months as a reminder to Change Your Filter.

Replacement Instructions

1. Locate Filter inside fridge at upper front, Press the button to the right of the filter to release it.
2. Pull the old filter straight out and discard (the water will shut off automatically).
3. Push the new filter in VERY FIRMLY until you hear it ‘CLICK’ into place.
4. That’s how easy it is to replace the PureSource2 water filter.
5. Reset your ‘change filter’ light (if your refrigerator has one)

Slide out the old filter and insert the new filter and push firmly till the new filter snaps into place.
