One of the most convenient aspects of the Jeep® Wrangler's Uconnect® system is Bluetooth® connectivity. With Bluetooth®, you're able to stream audio from your phone and make important phone calls without having to take your eyes off the road. If you're not sure how to pair your smartphone, here are the steps you need to follow.

Make sure that your Jeep® Wrangler and smartphone are both on. On your smartphone, ensure that the Bluetooth® feature is activated.
On your Uconnect® touch screen, fine the “Phone” icon. Press that, and then press “Yes.”
In your smartphone, go to the options or settings and find Bluetooth®. You should see Uconnect® or Wrangler as an option for pairing.
Upon selecting Uconnect® for pairing, you'll be asked to put in a four-digit PIN that will appear on the Wrangler's display.
Once pairing has been completed, you can set your phone as a favorite. Now, you can access Bluetooth® features using the Uconnect® Phone button on the vehicle's steering wheel.

Steps may vary slightly depending on your device, carrier, and operating system, as well as on the version of Uconnect® your Wrangler has. To pair a smartphone, watch this video or complete the following steps:

STEP 1: On your smartphone
- Under Settings, press the Bluetooth® button and turn Wireless Connectivity on.
STEP 2: On your Uconnect® touchscreen
- Select “Phone”, Select “Settings”, press “Paired Phones” and then “Add Device”, or
- Select “Settings”, press "Phone/Bluetooth", press “Paired Phones” and then “Add Device”.
STEP 3: On your smartphone
- Select your Uconnect system from the device list.
- Confirm that the passkey displayed on the vehicle touchscreen and your smartphone screen match. Or, if your smartphone prompts you to enter a PIN, enter the PIN displayed on your Uconnect® system.
- Note for Android™ Devices: If your smartphone stops scanning for devices, press the Scan button in the Bluetooth Menu.
- When prompted, allow access for Contacts and Messages downloads.
STEP 4: On your Uconnect® touchscreen
- Set your smartphone as a favorite by pressing the Yes button when prompted.
- Your smartphone is now paired and ready for hands-free calling+.

Setting up your smartphone with the Uconnect system in your 2015 Jeep Wrangler isn't as complicated as it might look. You can pair up to seven phones to the system by repeating this procedure for each phone.

Step 1

Push the Phone button on the Uconnect system. Wait for the ready prompt, then say, "Set up phone pairing." Wait for the system to enter setup mode. When prompted by a short beep, say, "Pair a phone."

Step 2

Wait for the prompt and enter a four-digit PIN number. Choose any four-digit number that you can easily remember. Punch the number into the Uconnect system, using numbers on the touch screen, and press "Next."

Step 3

When prompted, choose and say a name for your phone. Choose a priority from one to seven, with one being the highest, when prompted. Wait for the system to say "Complete."

Step 4

Go to the Bluetooth settings on your smartphone and select "Scan for Devices." Select Uconnect from the list and insert the four digit pin you chose earlier. Wait for the pairing to complete. Repeat this process using a different name and priority for any other phones you would like to program to the system.

Press the Phone Settings button on the touchscreen. Press the Pair Phones or Paired Audio Devices button on the touchscreen. Press the Settings button located to the right of the device name for a different Phone or Audio Device than the currently connected device. The options pop-up will be displayed.

Why does my Jeep Wrangler says uconnect phone not available?

To fix this issue, just go to the Bluetooth settings of your phone or Uconnect, and then set it to Discoverable. Wait for a while until the other device recognizes the device in Discoverable mode. If so, then start pairing!
