IF you have not activated iCloud Messages and IF they are in your latest backup you can restore from that backup. Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup - Apple Support You will lose any data added since he date/time of that backup.

My messages were in iCloud.

Went to a Verizon store where I bought my iPhone XR.

Determined that we should follow the “Restore your iPhone” procedure.

I have everything back except now ALL my text messages are gone ‼️‼️‼️‼️

The problem now is I cannot access messages from iCloud because I forgot the 6 digit security code I entered when I first got the phone. I do NOT use any security code to open and use my phone.

I have tried a few possibilities for dates I use, but they do NOT work.

NOW WHAT ????? I need ALL mg text messages ‼️‼️‼️‼️

If you activated iCloud Messages there is no way to restore them. Restoring your iPhone as a new device just got rid of the rest of them. They are gone. You can get your call history from Verizon.

Im not sure about “activating” iCloud messages....

I know I had selected them to be saved in iCloud...

But I wasn’t using a security passcode...

My messages are still in storage, 2 screenshots...

Yes, you activated iCloud Messages. Right now you have it turned off. You need to turn it back on to get them on your iPhone.

I’m asked to enter a 6 digit passcode that I don’t use...

The only time I ever entered one was when I first activated the phone 2 years ago along with facial recognition.

I disabled the facial ID and don’t believe I ever used it. The 6 number passcode I pretty much disabled without ever using ( I’ve rarely used a security feature to lock my phones ever)

I have no idea what 6 number I used 2 years ago. I have tried a couple of combinations of numbers ( birthday, wedding) NOTHING WORKS

I spoke with an Apple tech last night and they told me ( and that’s what I thought) they could not bypass the security system....

I KNOW I never used any passcode when setting up iCloud ( other than my Apple ID which I know)

I have YEARS of information saved in those messages.....

ANY HELP FROM ANYONE????!
