The nice thing about the 2006 model year Duramax is it was the last year before the DEF emissions systems were installed, so you won’t have to worry about any of those emissions issues. To help this engine breath better we installed an AFE intake to clean the incoming air and provide less restriction. To help expel the spent fuel we installed a dual exhaust system for a better flow and to give the exhaust a great tone. To keep a close eye on all the important engine and transmission data we went with the proven Edge CTS2 Monitor that gives you the ability to adjust what you want to see and gives you a ton of data to monitor. The Diesel Brothers made a name for themselves with a Discovery Channel reality show about their diesel pickup customizing business. The show, called “Diesel Brothers,” hasn’t been without controversy, but the two Daves have been going strong for seven seasons, and have parlayed the Discovery Channel success into the Heavy D Sparks YouTube channel, which has almost 2.5 million subscribers. Like any solid business, the Diesel Brothers brand has recently diversified—in this case, that means they’ve started taking on complicated recoveries.  That’s where the 2023 Polaris Ranger Kinetic comes in. Heavy D admits they were skeptical about using an electric vehicle as a recovery mission support rig. Range and real-world horsepower anxiety were at the top of the list of concerns, but Sparks says the Ranger XP Kinetic quickly outperformed expectations. Kiley said they’ve been pleasantly surprised by the Kinetic’s absolute lack of required maintenance, in addition to the potential durability of the electric powertrain. There’s no oil to change in the Kinetic, and the powertrain is solid state and entirely sealed off from the elements. After seven seasons filled with monster truck builds and crazy stunts, Heavy D and Diesel Dave are officially returning for more.
Why was Diesel Brothers Cancelled?In 2018, a Utah emission inspector testified that the Diesel Brothers truck had been illegally modified. The result was the judge issuing an injunction, which prohibited the shop from making the same modifications on future truck builds.
Did Diesel Brothers win the lawsuit?Diesel Brothers charged with vehicle tampering that increases harmful air pollution along Utah's Wasatch Front. They received an $850,000 penalty and a permanent ban on defeating pollution controls as a consequence of violating the Clean Air Act hundreds of times.
What's up with the Diesel Brothers?Diesel Brothers is an American reality television series. The series premiered on January 4, 2016, on Discovery Channel. The program follows a group of friends in Utah who repair and customize pickup trucks. Despite the name and physical resemblance to one another, the Diesel Brothers are not actually brothers.
